Love the guitar riff, can't knock the similarity to she's a river when you consider Every song the Edge plays on he virtually regurgitates everything he's ever done.

I don't think it was 'only' playback', there was a tape playing in the background with his vocals, yes, but Jim also sang along to it, you could here it quite well. Yes, I was there! :D

yes he did say at the beginning its the first time played and carefully he never said "sung" so he has known this would be a mime. Lets hope the fans take to it and on the next concert he sings it live.

Thanks for sharing this. The new song is great!! I was so looking forward to hearing it. First time I have ever watched a Simple Minds live recording and felt a bit sad though. Never seen Jim mime in concert before. He just doesn't need to and he is not very good at it any way. What a shame. In the DVD it is going to look much worse than any vocal slip up could. And what did he say when Don't You forget about Me went wrong at the Koko---"it's called live music" and we all laughed with him and appreciated his honesty. Bad move to mime Jim, but I haven't noticed many bad moves in the 30 years I have been a fan so going to have forgive him this one. Thanks again TTC. I appreciate all your recordings. x

the main guitar riff is fine, its catchy, so thumbs up, lets hope andy gillespie gets to add his own input and perhaps new keyboard melodies to other new material also, maybe a little more lostboy style synth to other filler tracks too

Falke Denniz Val Sjöblom Probably Falke. I've only noticed Jim mime on TV programs (or music videos) before. First time at a concert. He is terrible at miming too, isn't he!! Thanks!
