I was there!!!! The lead singer, the band and woman singing especially at the end was so memorable!! Great band to see live, so talented!!!

I was there too, up on the lawn relaxing. Just went back there last night to see Keane, venue seems so much smaller now for some reason. My wife was there too, we met at a Simple Minds show in 91. I wish there was video of this show, only remember a little of it for some reason. Great memories though.

It’s a bloody great sounding bootleg. Especially as it progresses. For 1986 it sounds incredible. It’s most likely a handheld stereo recorder. A band at the top of their game.

Really weird as every other version later on this tour sounds a rushed mess but this sounds on point. A real gem of a find thank you!

Amazing recording! Got to be one of the best Ive heard from the Giblin era. Nice hearing Come Along Way and can never get enough of Book of Brilliant things. When you listen to these you, realise how amazing Mick’s keyboards were. Once again, thanks for another brilliant upload. What would us Minds fans do without you!

Art & Talk, hats off to you and your friends for this wonderful recording! How was it pulled it off? It sounds magnificent! Just listen to Mel Gaynor's drumming in Waterfront, it's haunting like thunder claps, and the clarity of Mick MacNeil's keyboarding, they come through so much clearer than the "Live in the City of Lights" recordings! Coincidentally, I attended this concert at the Greek Theatre, but for whatever reason, perhaps due to Bay Bridge traffic from San Francisco to Berkeley, we were late in arriving. Yet it was a lovely Spring late afternoon with sun setting, when we finally arrived in the parking area of the Greek, as we just about sprinted to the entrance gates, I could hear "Speed Your Love to Me" echoing about, and Mick's beautiful synths filling the dusk air amidst so many tall fragrant eucalyptus trees, like a mini forest, which encompasses the theatre--it was magical. We finally made it in, and took in the rest of the concert. Nothing like the Simple Minds during this era in concert! They electrified crowds with incredible euphoria wherever they performed! I just hope these blokes finally come to their senses and have a reunion tour featuring Mick, Derek, Jim, Charlie, and Mel, that would be absolutely fantastic! Life is short guys, do it soon! Treat us to an unforgettable glittering prize we can share with our grandkids about. Cheers!

Great quality boot :) but when will simple minds get their act together and release the good recordings they have of this and SFY tours?? Plenty soundboard boots of other tours, but not these two, or the empires and dance tours in 80/81. Would love to hear!

@Andrew Robertson couldn't agree more. Perhaps a box set of live recordings through the years?! All the best!

Didn't Springsteen release loads of excellent quality bootleg concerts? Maybe The minds could do the same? Be amazing, that would ✌️
