I decorate each room but with minimal decorations. Trees, greenery, natural neutral textures with ivory, gold, green and a touch off black in each room. Tastefully done.

Well I’m now on 121 acres in the Pacific Crest Trail, where it is literally a Forrest. Now that the snow is over 30 inches, we are surrounded by enormous trees full of snow. Nestled in the Southern Oregon mountains living in a Mountain home in the snow is magic ( and lots of work lol) I am more than blessed and god is great. I’m 61 now, an empty nester, just my partner and I. I put up a small tree, my nutcracker collection, nativity and garland above the fire place. Beautiful roses in many vases according to height and that’s it. The house has wall to ceiling 22 feet of windows. Therefore, the Forrest is our view. We are at 5,800 feet of elevation it’s beautiful, magical and natural. It literally is a Winter Wonderland. Not much decorating needed BUT a lot of home made meals, a lot of hot coco and home made cookies. It’s like your above the clouds in heaven. Now that the snow is here, and the bears ( had lots of bears his summer) are gone, it’s just so peaceful. I wish our children could be with us this Christmas but they can’t so it’s just the 2 of us🙋🏻‍♀️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 Happy Holidays Dear you did an amazing job. I have downsized to four bins of decor which I may only use a fraction of each Christmas. Three themes. A homemade Christmas, Winter Woodland and Nativity themes. I only decorate the kitchen, dining room and living room. My only decor in bedrooms is switching to some form of flannel plaid sheets for winter (WI). When my adult kids were young they would decorate their own rooms (including Harry Potter themed tree in the girls room). Now I have one adult kid at home out of four and he only put his diffusor on the red light, lol.

I try not to go overboard and have been trying a more natural look for Christmas lately that easily transforms into winter. Our grown daughter was able to come home this year for the Thanksgiving weekend and helped me decorate! It was such a blessing to spend that time with her and still make family memories ❤️

Loved your home! But, oh the snow. Like a dream. I am in north Florida and it was in the 80’s today, and down to the 50’s tonight! What a beautiful blanket of snow. Love how it clings to even the smallest branches. I used to decorate pretty heavily, but lately I’ve tried to decorate more simply and am liking it. More than anything, I so look forward to having my children and grandchildren here to visit. It’s all about family. 💖

Those berry trees covered in snow 😍😍😍😍. I have lots of Christmas decor bc my mom's love language is gift giving, so I get a lot of decor gifts from her. It's a lot to store but I love it and each year I get to decorate differently since I have so much to choose from! I look forward to decorating my house for Christmas each year and coming up with new ways to use the decor I have.

I have 10 trees and many, many small trees. One is traditional with pictures of my children and grandchildren, the rest more whimsical, including a Dr. Pepper tree. You have a most beautiful home and it's decorated so gorgeous!!!

I decorate mostly with greenery and use my everyday collections. So I use my collection of white ironstone pitchers just sitting amongst garlands of greenery. I used to buy tons of Christmas decorations but found over the years that greenery is something that can transform my home into winter/Christmas easily and affordably. I love the way you decorate and add so many lovely touches that never looked contrived ❤️

I’ve left the desert this week for Chicagoland. I guess I’m going to miss snow this visit. Thank you for sharing yours. I enjoy decorating with different nativity sets around my home. Especially precious, is a large ceramic set that my father hand painted in the mid-70’s! It’s the focal point in our entryway.

Beautiful! Thanks for the snow pictures! I love snow and it’s kinda hit or miss here in southwest Virginia. I usually go all out except this year. We are renovating a country farmhouse and right now we are painting it inside. We go paint every evening after work. I do have my tree up and a few more small decorations. Your simple decor is incredibly beautiful. You asked about our decor and to tell you about it. Mine is pretty much the same every year. Our family room tree is decked out with ribbon and ornaments I've collected over the years. Some are gifted and some I picked up here and there. I have another tree in our dining room that is what I call my Jesus tree. It's decorated with Chrismon ornaments I cross stitched with the remainder of the ornaments being angels, crosses and some white ornaments. Everything is white, gold and a tad of silver. I love decorating for Christmas but the older I get the less I'm putting out to have to put back up. I enjoy your videos so much but I enjoy your personality as much as I do your decor.

Wow... I just love your use of black in every room for contrast. It is such an elevated look to me. Your stone fireplace is amazing! And of course, your snow covered property is pure Christmas magic. I did just score one of those glass candle ornaments at my local thrift shop yesterday for $3.00!!!!! I could not believe anyone would give that away. It even still had the cellophane disk on the candle inside. Never used! I was one happy girl.

As for my decorating, I have decorated in white for over 40 years (before it became a thing 😊) in the living room, just have always been drawn to it but I would also use traditional cranberry red and green in kitchen and loft etc. I have a beautiful white tree with white berries and I decorate with only white birds and it is my favorite. It is now my tradition to hunt for white birds to add to my tree each year and its fun because actually there are not many out there that are all white. Merry CHRISTmas .

Hi Sarah. I came over from Andrea's channel. Your property is stunning and it does look beautiful with the fresh white snow. I live in Canada and we have been exceptionally blessed with no snow as of yet where I live.😏😉😊 We always receive alot and it gets incredibly cold. We are however, bracing for quite a bit of snow starting Thursday night. Your home is so lovely and your style is so refreshing and unique. I really love your decor!! This year I really changed up my decor by also using a lot of greenery, hints of gold, twinkle lights and some wood elements. I really wanted a more natural feel to my space. That is something you have done so well. I throughly enjoyed the tour. I will be coming back for sure.

I love decorating but sometimes the extra holiday decor can be too much clutter for me. I usually switch things up every year. This year I went with more decor but next year I will keep it simple. As I get older I tend to enjoy more minimal decor.

Stunning …stunning Sarah ! I have been watching your channel for a little while because of Andrea mentioning you, but haven’t left comments because they were older videos. I decorate a lot like you and Andrea do ~ minus the tree, just can’t put one up with my back and shoulder anymore ( not going to say old age 😂 ) . As a matter of fact I have been collecting the Norfolk Greenery for 3 years now. So big doorways and big windows are draped with them. Their Wreaths in other windows and on doors. Many, many of their stems. I LOVE your ribbon color. I’m not a fan of red, but do have hints of it which get taken down after Christmas and another color comes out! Is it a rusty orange/copper color? It is yummy! So many of your items I have. The Bells, the wall hanging of the Pine Tree, I see some vases like mine. So fun to see them in other homes and get ideas for using mine differently. Very well done…simplistic and classic ! Love snow, I’m over in central New York between Cooperstown and Hamilton. So we are in the snow belt…love it too! I’m waiting for it to come !
