I've watched a lot of videos about making altered book journals. Love the way you actually used the tabs from torn out pages for gluing in your new decorative pages. I've never seen anyone use them that way. Great idea!

This is so great- no sewing, no binding! I love the use of tape and paper bags. This is my next project. I was getting so overwhelmed with some of the other methods ( which I will still try-just at a later date). Right now I want to do something and have it turn out great and this is it! Thank you.

I am watching this 3 years after you made it. I live 11 miles from Lost City bookstore (thanks for giving their name) and the timing of this is perfect. Today through the end of the month, they are having a 20% off sale both in store and online (in case you are interested.) The weather today (8-17) is gloomy so it’s a perfect day to go shopping for a book to make a travel journal. I am heading to Norway soon so I hope to find an old Norwegian hard cover travel book that I can make into a journal like yours. I am so inspired and just wanted to thank you for your post….even though I am 3 years late to the game!
