I just found your channel after looking for junk journal tutorials where they aren't all brown and a bit too grungy for my taste. Anyway I loved this video and your style, thank you so much and I started my own journal whilst I was watching along 💌

I love the fresh, clean, light-hearted look of your journals. They’re so fun. Another way to cover the front and back is with fabric, ironed on using Heat and Bond. The edges don’t ravel and the fabric takes on the feel of a cloth-bound book. Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to look for some kids books when I make my candy-themed journal.

My 80 year old mom started me into junk journaling. We love your videos! We both tried making the "perfect" junk journals but these composition ones are so "freeing" and much easier to make than the sewn...and we love your style! When you have time--would you please show us your "thought process" with the adorable pictures you choose for the journal covers--and the journal cover with the red frame. Did you paint the frame? How do you find the perfect pic to fit in the frame? I love how you create a theme for your books! The pictures you find are so adorable for your book covers! Thank you for these videos! Going to thumbs up each one I watch! Love them! Thank you!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Glad to know you use the friends of the library sales. I'm a volunteer for two friends groups in Los Angeles library system. I rescue so many of the vintage books with plans to create journals or find someone who would love them to create a journal with. As you know, at some point, the books might just get tossed. I'd rather see them used for journal making.

I am such a BIG BIG BIG paper crafter/junk journal person. I always loved it but the only problem was i had no idea how to make one out of the composition books lying around my house. And i’m NOT someone for sewing😅 So this tutorial seriously helped out! I’m so happy and im also going to pick up some lace from a shop nearby. There’s a lot of charms and stuff there available for junk journals. I also love how i can adjust the pictures to my taste. Thanks a lot!❤❤

I add washi to my edges too, I think it looks so pretty and adds something special. I also love ric rac I haven’t added it to any covers -that I can remember, but I will on my next c.notebook. Yours came out lovely 😊 tfs 💖

I’ve added patterned paper by cutting a lined page down so there’s only one third left near the middle and then I glue a piece of patterned paper both sides of it and the lined part that’s left acts like a kind of tooth in the middle if you get what I mean and that works too. I will now try your way also.
