Love that small rib corrugated tin! Two years ago we reroofed our place with regular rib corrugated with a raw paint-grip/bonderized finish. It has aged beautifully and looks like it is 80 years old.

Cool, I like it too but you can't put it over very big gaps in your roof boards.

My friend made it beautifully. What type of wood is used to make houses?

Southern Yellow pine and white cedar siding!

@@buildlife Yes, it's straight and the color is beautiful
@Tom-x3m9g9 ай бұрын
I would have used 4 by 8 sheets of smart siding. It would have overlapped the seams. And made it a tighter build. You will have lots of company. LMAO!
@buildlife9 ай бұрын
I have built several like that but believe it or not the shakes are pretty tight. The way they overlap they are no less than 3 layers deep so they wind up being about an inch thick.

Should have put the Cost to just Build the Shell/Structure and compared it to the Cost of Buying one of about the same size. My 12x12 Cost just Under $1,000 to Build, to Buy it would have cost over $5,000... But when you ask channels that keep Pushing Buying the Prebuilts to do this, they Block you and Delete your Comment/Question.
@buildlife10 ай бұрын
This one was built with all left overs so almost $0. I would suggest not starting comments off with what the video creator should do. Most people putting out content pride themselves on already knowing what they should do (whether they do or not) Just sayin it tends to go over a little better. All in the delivery! Thanks for watching.

Everything came out nice on this build except one thing. The old door you hung for the entrance way. It is upside-down and needs to be hung correctly. That door is supposed to symbolize a crucifix. They were built to protect your home. Please consider hanging it the right way. An upside-down crucifix is sacrilege.
@buildlife10 ай бұрын
Interesting take on it but I assure you the door is hung the way it was built. I have probably 30 of them in my loft and they are all installed that way. If you flip them the knob would be about neck high.
