What a great how-to video- clear and concise. Lots of good information and no extraneous nattering. Thank you!

You omit a lot of useful tips. For example, as long as you harvest by cutting ABOVE (not below) the first tier of leaves, you can regrow a tray upto 2 times for a total of THREE HARVESTS instead of just one. If you do opt to regrow like this, resist the urge to cut below the 1st tier on the 2nd & 3rd harvests because the lower stems become unappetizingly tough.

FAVORITE USE: I tend to chop and dehydrate most of my pea shoots, and store in glass jars ... i use it just like crumbled dried parsley to add greens to soups, scrambled eggs, matzohbrei, mashed potatoes, chili, stew, et al.

Awesome video, thanks for explaining how to measure the amount of seeds needed. I'm doing a grow project with my 7th grade students and this video was helpful.

Ive been kicking an idea around- why not add microgreen shoots to an existing hydroponic NFT/ebb flow system, to grow recurring handfuls of fresh greens in 3" net cups ~ every two weeks. Id think those young roots would love a recurring nutrient solution...

This looks like a great place to start! In terms of watering, is there a certain amount I should add in the bottom tray, potentially like a 'fill line'?
@HydroHowTo3 жыл бұрын
It is for sure! It’s hard to say a specific line because everybody uses different size trays. Really you can just put the seed tray in the big tray and fill it until you see water touching the bottom of the seeds.

hello friend, thank u both for the definitely very helpful videos 😊 my Q: im novice microgreen grower at home, currently im using Tupperware plastcs (9x6 inches or 12x6 inches), can i get away with lower wattage LED than 18W (9INCH high?) whats lowest wattage i can use? trying to save on energy consumption & cost?, i hope u reply, thanx 😊🙏
@HydroHowTo3 жыл бұрын
Hi, and thank you for the kind words! It’s hard to say a specific wattage without knowing what kind of microgreens you’re growing. The best advice I can offer is, try it and see how it works for you. Thanks again!
@ibrahimbader3 жыл бұрын
@@HydroHowTo thank you, i actually thought you may say that 😊 I started with 15W LED 9 inches high from my broccoli, its a success, i rotate the plant container often and i have a low fan indirect current about 6 feet away... i just added the Argula and red beet containers. Separately, im using 12W for Mongo microgreen, we ll see how that works out. thank you for ur reply 🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹

Hello hope you are fine. I'm looking at your channel and I love the content. I have looked everywhere for a video about building a Ras system well detailed from A to Z could you be in position to make such a video.? Thanks Merry Christmas
@HydroHowTo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the wonderful comments Jerry! I don’t currently have any aquaculture systems, but that is something I’m considering doing in the nearish future. When I do, there will absolutely be a full A to Z video on it.

Does the water need to be warm or is room temp fine? I bought some seeds from a company and the instructions said warm water but I didn’t read it properly and just used room temp. Will it matter or make a different in germination?
@HydroHowTo Жыл бұрын
Room temp is perfectly fine. Enjoy!!

Yep, I'm planning to do some slightly more advanced microgreen videos. Still very simple.
