Nicely done Paul. Definitely going to try this. Most of my scale type practice is currently done in order. Practicing liked this not only sounds more melodic, but helps with overall fretboard dexterity. One thing I've done which has helped with improvisation is shifting my playing position at the octave, but playing the same thing. It's helping learn where I am in the scale, but also where the notes are on the fretboard. A suggestion for another topic could be how to connect smaller parts/patterns into a bigger piece. I've learnt quite a few individual licks, but don't really know what to do with them. In a related manner, another topic could be "what comes next", ie you have a lick, but what are some ways you can take this to the next lick. The two lessons could help really expand the wonderful world of music. No doubt a lot to cover, but even some basics would help and could even form part of a lesson series.
