Great work! Thank you for sharing. This should greatly improve combustion on all kinds of engines.

How many times have you been shocked doing these plasma experiments Okki? You are brave holding those capacitors bare handed haha.

When I tried this with a lawnmower (Briggs & Stratton) motor, it simply shorted out the wire to ground, and stopped the motor. What did I do wrong?

What happens if you run capacitors off foil tape rather than jumper wire would it be more efficient then either one separate

Hi, Instead of using 3x ceramic caps, can we use electrolytic capacitors? This setup can be use on 2 stroke scooters? 🤔🤔🤔
@OkkiMoeljadi3 жыл бұрын
You can use any type of high voltage capacitor. It must be at least 20 kV (or better 30 kV). This setup can be used in any gasoline engine including 2 stroke scooter engines.

Hi, thanks for the lesson, could you please make a tutorial to apply this system on direct ignation system, where the coil attached on each spark plug. Thanks before

You're welcome. Someone did it already. I saw it somewhere in a car forum. Just google it.

Sir is it ok for my Motorcycle to put 5 capasitors? Is it ok for long ride? and what is more spark the 3 capasitor or 5 capasitor?
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
Use 3 capacitors (about 73 pF) for daily use.

why do you have the positive of the battery connected to the ground of the plug?? this isnt wired properly
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
If you have high voltage it doesn't matter where you connect the other electrode. My ignition coils produce negative high voltage and for this demonstration I connect the spark plug body with +12 V battery terminal. I have explained this connection on my old video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5WaXnZ3j9tqoNk. Cheers!

Hello Okki, this is a great thing to improve coil ignition in a car. Can you work on something to improve the spark on small engines with flywheel magneto like lawnmower, chainsaw, generator, water pump? Best regards.
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
You can use the same trick. Just connect a 50-70 pF capacitor to your spark plug.

@@OkkiMoeljadi should I just use one capacitor or three? What voltage rating is required? I have seen ceramic capacitor suitable for AC or DC, which is best for this application? Thankyou.
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
@@Hydrogenblonde you can use ceramic capacitor with voltage rating at least 30 kV.

hello okki, greetings from Mexico City. I have a question, I hope you can clarify What type of capacitors do you use and what values do they have? I hope you can clarify the doubt. and congratulations on your videos, they are quite interesting.

I always use the same capacitor as you can see on my simple plasma ignition videos. It is 220 pF 15 kV.

Pak, untuk kabel yang dibungkus almunium foil itu detailnya bagaimana?...thanks.
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
Hanya kabel busi biasa dengan ini tembaga kemudian dibungkus dengan tape alumunium. Jangan gunakan kabel busi inti arang (carbon core).

This experiment isnt too helpful if you dont measure the capacitance of the foil set up and keep it the same value with the normal capacitors
@gregorykusiak54243 жыл бұрын
I would like to have seen how the spark plug without the J-shaped ground electrode performed on the foil-wrapped side: even small increases in spark intensity have positive effects on fuel economy. If those 2 simple mods get me 5-10-20% increase in fuel economy without negatively affecting spark plug life, applying them would be worth it to me. More is better, of course, but realistically, every little bit counts, especially for engines with computer-controlled fuel delivery. Okki- what happens if you apply the capacitors across the primary terminals of the coil? You would be able to use lower voltage capacitors and tailor capacity of them to get a similar effect, I believe, correct?

Fungsi pemotongan kepala elektroda busi buat apa bang?
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын

Nice experiment, but you compare a single layer of alu-foil with a set of three caps in series, Ari.
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
Still the 3 capacitors have higher capacitance than alu-foil. You can see it from the spark intensity. Longer cable with longer alu-foil-cover will increase the capacitance. This cable in this video is only around 45 cm long.
@_John_Sean_Walker4 жыл бұрын
@@OkkiMoeljadi You can replace the 3 capacitors by 1 capacitor, or you can place two more layers of alu-foil insulated from, and all connected in series, around the first layer, Ari.
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
If you add more alu-foil-layers, you will decrease the capacitance and you will get weaker sparks. Or you can use higher capacitance capacitor. Number of capacitor is not important, the total capacitance is important.
@_John_Sean_Walker4 жыл бұрын
@@OkkiMoeljadi No, the aluminium layers should be insulated from each other, and connected in series. And the number of capacitors IS important. You are an experimentor, so show us the experiment with only one capacitor in comparison with your set of three capacitors, Ari. Thanks and good luck.
@OkkiMoeljadi4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I understand about putting insulator between alu-layers. That's what I meant that it would reduce the capacitance. Regarding using only one capacitor, actually I showed that already on my previous video. Check out this one @16:15 kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3u2pIqkaK-hfJI
