Good evening sir.The class was clear But i have a doubt. He speaks to me at 7pm from monday to friday regularly. Here duration of time is FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY.. Duration of time from monday to sunday இதுக்கு பதிலாக for 2days and since saturday ஆகியவற்றை பயன்படுத்தலாமா. Example. He speaks to me at 7pm for 5days regularly. He speaks to me at 7pm since sunday daily இந்த ரெண்டு வாக்கியத்திலும் தவறு இருந்தால் please reply.

" He speaks to me 5 days a week regularly " is a correct sentence Like once a week, twice a week....5 days a week.... Since Sunday daily என்பது தவறான phrase construction.... Since என்பது simple present tense - உடன் பயன்படுத்துவது தவறு.... அது perfect tense, perfect continuous tense- க்கான durative action - ஐ காட்டக்கூடிய தன்மை கொண்டது.... அப்பொழுது தொடங்கி இப்பொழுது வரை என்ற meaning கொண்டது.... He has been speaking to me at 7 PM daily since Sunday என்பது சரியான sentence.... Tamil- English translation செய்வது தவறு. English language concepts- க்கு sentence உருவாக்க வேண்டும்.

Since என்பது perfect tense, perfect continuous tense - க்கான durative action - ஐ காட்டக்கூடிய தன்மை கொண்டது.... அதை simple present tense- இல் பயன்படுத்துவது தவறு... Since - இல் ஒரு duration இருந்தாலும் அது particular time மட்டும் கொண்ட duration..... கிட்டதட்ட அதில் ஒரு point of time இருக்கு.... I work from 2pm to 4pm என்ற duration - இல் தினமும் 2pm to 4pm என்ற meaning வரும். I have been working since 2pm என்பதில் 2 மணியிலிருந்து இப்பொழுது வரை வேலை செய்துகொண்டே இருக்கிறேன்.இந்த 2pm இல் இருந்து இப்பொழுது வரை உள்ள time இந்த ஒரு முறை மட்டும் தான் என்ற duration தன்மை கொண்டது..... Because, since- இன் தன்மை அது
