Great video, I watched it twice, and I have some questions. What does the strategy command us to do when a setup occurs while 50% of a previous trade is still open. In fact, in your example, around 15:41 you show a setup on the bullish pinbar while 50% of the trade on the bullish engulfment before it would still be open. My thoughts are: (a) Ignore while a trade is open (on the same currency), so don't open another trade. (b) open another trade as risk management allows (including the 50% open trade). @17:53 you spot a Bearish Engulfer, but the top of the body of the engulfing red candle is slightly below the top of the body of the green candle before it. This violates the engulfment condition as i understand it. So what is your definition of engulfing? I expect your tool is for MT4 so i cannot use it (I have Interactive Brokers TWS), so i need to know this detail. Similar question for the definition of pinbar. The definition i found is: the wick on one side is at least 3 times larger than the body + wick on the other side.
@kunkunaku4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your videos. You say to " take profit target 1=50% of trade = 1 x risk. And balance to break even" Then " take profit 2=remaining 50%. I'm a rookie and would ask you if you can show me using the order screen how to do this. I hope my question is clear.

Trend on 4H chart is the best trend guide for majority of forex traders( if one keeps trades for 2-5 days. By the time trader realizes that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 3-5 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start. Another reason is that trend on 1H chart can flip on A dime & your money is gone.Trend based on the last 5-10,four hourly candles has enough players behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced merchandise. Great video Andrew and thanks for going into so much detail. I do have a question though. How would you set this trade up using MT4? If you opened a trade and you hit the first risk x1 profit target then the trade would close wouldn’t it? Can you set multiple T/P’s in MT4?? Also, when it comes to closing the trade when a candle closes about the 13EMA, is that just a matter of watching the charts closely or is there a way for MT4 to do that for you?
@jeffnovotny44982 жыл бұрын
It depends what your software will allow. My MT4 only allows manual partial exits - unless someone else knows how to set a profit target for a partial position. For me it sets a limit for the entire position and I can't modify the amount, even if it's entered as two separate trades.

Most traders can’t handle the fact their trades profits may dip back into the negative a few times before actually taking off. The market needs to move up before it can move down again and that's demand and supply pendulum. This is one part of the market’s behavior that you need to accept and get your head around. *Iqd momentum strategy lukasz wilhelm(iqdtrades.com) teaches me better rules in trade* . search and find details on net.

Good morning, I have one question. Why should I close transactions after one impulse. I can't hold one deal until the trend is over and secure the profit by moving stoploss?

hi love the vlogs, quick question in the above strategy your risk management has your exiting and entering placed around the bullish/bearish engulfed or pin bar yet in a previous vid you suggested counting back the five previous candles from the pullback then work risk management using the high or lows involved, are you entering quicker on the bullish /bearish engulfer and pin bar as it is stronger signal opposed to the other method

I tried this simple strategy it fixed my mind well so I Doubled account with one trade , It was my small account , but can say a simple way is better instead of complex with tons of indicators and very hard to decide where to trade

Been following you for a long time normally i don’t entertain adverts that happen on Facebook but your strategies are so good i am happy that now the big guys are coming in to teach us whats real than to teach us complicated stuff i wish i had money to pay for the Forexsignals.com but price is same as trading account so disappointing but with some back testing and more learning i will pay for the coarse i am very happy i am watching all your video’s everyday

I remember your last video of the same strategy shows Entry and SL at the last 5 bars Low & High. Why is this video shows the Entry/SL at Signal bar? Isn't the last 5 bars safer/better ? It would be insignificant if the signal bar is a short range bar. Any comment?

How should we consider the spreads in calculating SL and TP? I‘d guess that in a long position we take the bid price for the calculation and for short trades the ask price. Right?

Dear Sir! Great video! Just one question in regards closing 50% of your trade. Do you open 2 different trades of the same size, or do you just monitor the chart non-stop and closing the trade manually as soon as the target is achieved?
@jeffnovotny44982 жыл бұрын
It depends what your software will allow. My MT4 only allows manual partial exits - unless someone else knows how to set a profit target for a partial position. For me it sets a limit for the entire position and I can't modify the amount, even if it's entered as two separate trades.
