I would suggest making the top platform of scaffolding one block wider in all directions, as Golems can get stuck on the bottom of the wall blocks. Once you solve that problem, this really really sings!

Hi :-) I', guessing you're on a non-vanilla SMP? At least that is the only place I have heard about this problem before - and you're right: That is a good solution. Another is to use glas panels. A Thord is to bring the walls down to 3 blocks above the spawning platform :-)

Made this in three of my hc worlds and two in creative, just for test. Absolute incredible!! You made a fantastic job, man!! Just to point out smt: one of the viewers suggested below to expand the top platform of scaffolding one block wider in all directions, cause golems can get stuck on the bottom of the wall blocks. I didnt changed the scaffolding structure, just made the top walls with one block gap btw the walls and the scaffolding, wich obviously made the top lava pool bigger, but its just a detail. Worked perfectly!! Great work, bro!! Keep your channel growing

First off, your channel is one of my faves. I have a question, how would you design the villager pod if you are playing on a SMP where when you cram villagers in like you do here they lose their AI? I think they work fine in a 1x2x3 space.

Love the farm and it is easy to build. I question if I am doing something wrong because usually only 2 or 3 golems spawn per chance. Sometimes it is one and then a few seconds later another but usually all at once. Just 3 is the most common amount per spawning event.

Hi 😊 probably not! Though you should see spawns og 4 sometimes if you let it run for a while. But to keep the farm compact the villager pods are so close, that the pods on one side can detect the golems from the other pod.

Just to clarify for people reading in the future (1.20.1 version Java) This does work on a vanilla server confirmed, been running for multiple nights in real life, easy and rates in description are correct. Thanks for this farm its awesome and pretty easy to build ! Cheers

I just built this today in Java 1.19.2, but I still had the occasional escapee. Wasn't too hard to manage, just had to open the pod so they'd go back to bed. But what I ended up doing was putting a slab across the lower half of the full-block space of their viewing segment; The edges of the beds are still exposed, and, when standing, they can see over the slab. I also added a glass block to the inner edge of the viewing side, which let me extend the slab ceiling another row. Been a couple nights with no escapees, so far. Love the output!

It’s a bit more challenging to do it on the ground, but the way I do it in the video I hav not had one single villager escape … if you have experienced that, then maybe the beds are not in the exact same place? Either way: good that you have found a solution 😊

@@MineTheFab I've found a bigger issue: sometimes an iron golem will get stranded in the scaffolding. I'm guessing it's a rare time when the iron golem decides to move away from the water elevator while it's going up. If this happens, the golem is in-range of all the villagers and they stop summoning anymore of them. I end up having to kill the golem from the ground with my bow to get things going again.

Luckily the fix is easy - just build the wall down to 3 blocks above the spawning platform - or make the top scaffolding one block wider all around as the farm on the left in the WD.

Built this on a 1.19.2 Paper MC server and its working as described! 18-20 stacks per hour as said in the description. Although sometimes when u reload the chunk after leaving for a long time, it doesnt immediately start again unless u restart the farm by hiding then showing thw zombie again or just waiting for night time. Nevertheless, it was very cheap to build! However, don’t be like me and let the villagers see u bring the zombies up to their chambers or u’ll end up with a new iron buddy who just killed ur named zombie.

Hi😊Thqnks for sharing! And if you unload the chunks (go far away or to another dimension) the villagers need to sleep for the farm to work again -but that goes for all iron farms unless there chunk loaded.

Hi 😊 building them vertically would make the rates of each layer drop significantly as the golems will be passing by other villagers than the ones that spawned then and putting their “own” golem on hold.

Hi 😊 You say vanilla … I’ve only hear of that problem on Paper or other semi-vanilla servers. Either Way, the solution is either to bring the walls down to 3 blocks over the spawning platform or use glass panes instead.

@@MineTheFab fair. I usually use gnembons designs so new designs to interest me. Though at the same time a quick KZbin search for iron farms showed a few 2 platform basic farms supposedly(I haven't tested myself) 1200 iron per hour. Nonetheless you have another new sub

@@AuraSenpai Thanks for the sub! And about rates … try looking up cubicmeters (scicraft) test of bigger iron farms … almost none of them deliver what they claim in real life. Including Gnbs. I always state the rates low, so people can be pleasantly surprised instead of disappointed.

Hi :-) When Golems go vertical in the middle of a farm, (up or down) its never a good idea to have several layers, as the villagers will detect them going by in a 16 block radius ... Better build another farm 16 blocks away.

Iron golems keep spawning in the pit i slabbed off the area around the pit and in it but my zombies keep dying to iron golems. I’m on a 1.20.1 server in paper any idea why it’s not working? Also I have slabs over the zombies head so there not dying to sun.

Hello mr fab! I built your farm and the only issue I am having is the farm only works at night. I think it has something to do with the line of sight on the villagers. They cant see the zombie during the day, only when they start trying to sleep do iron golems spawn. Any solutions for this?

Hi 😊 It’s almost certainly because you forgot to remove the middle glass over the beds facing the zombie.

Hi 😊 Then you’re probably on a non vanilla server? And yes: the solutions is to either make the top platform one scafolding wider all around (the farm to the left in the WD) or to use glas panes, or to bring the wall down to 3 blocks over the spawning platform.

Hi :-) Sounds strange. Sure you have orientated the beds the same way as in the video? And put the glass on the same side?

@@MineTheFab I am certain. An easy fix I found was putting an overhanging roof made of slabs on the villager pods, facing the zombie. That way, after trying to go to sleep, they can only go back to the middle of the pod instead of popping out the side

@@distion ah! I always say everything is out the window when it’s not vanilla. I don’t know if it’s the case here, but all non-vanilla solutions work differently than vanilla - that’s why they are or there. And if you really made 100% like in the video it shouldn’t be possible to get another result. Either way you have found a solution, and that’s the most important 😊

I built this farm on a fairly large server, and the rates aren’t as good as they should’ve been. I suspect that this is due to low server TPS, but just to make sure, are golem spawning rates affected by TPS?

Hi 😊 What are the rates? And they should not be affected - unless the TPS is really bad. If you’re experiencing visible lag it might. But more likely it has to do with server settings. Is it a vanilla server? Or maybe Paper or Spigot?

@@MineTheFab Rates are about 2 stacks per hour. Lag is all server-side since my fps doesn’t drop. The server runs on purpur. Also, the server is on a superflat world and there is a sleep plugin to allow a few players to skip the night.

Hi 😊 Off the bat I would say no - I know of nothing in the games gode that would support that. But it’s to test: just make to identical one pod iron farm in a creative world, one with 3 and one with 4 villagers, and let it run for a couple of hours. And do let me know the results. 😊

@@MineTheFab I did a very short test and could already tell after that little bit that it wasnt optimal to have 4 in this design, but what i also realised is how infuriating it is to make an auto crafting sorter 😭 was an absolute nightmare and at the end i just gave up

Not sure if you have solved this problem or not, but I ran into the same issue (even when I used mud blocks) and I solved it by making the very top layer of scaffolding one wider all the way around. Will need extra lava sources and signs up top, but it did solve the issue for me.
