You know, I've listened to your jams for a few years now. I've listened to great, fully fleshed jams with 6 or 7 devices at the time. I've listened to you jamming with none other than Kellii Scott, drummer of one of my all time favourite bands. And I've loved it all. But something keeps me coming back to this little jam. The melody, the little progression on the Microbrute, the delicate bass line on the PO, the absolutely monstrous beat you programmed on the Drumbrute. I love everything about this jam, and I will keep on coming for more for years to come. Thanks, Jay, for taking the decision that day of scrapping the bigger jam and do this instead.

I do have to confirm that this jam is pure fire. Not often do I find myself un knowingly raving out wickedly in the kitchen doin’ some sign language shit with the arms and digits. Thank you for taking me to somewhere else briefly ☺️

A lovely hardware jam. I dig the melancholic melody and the distorted kick drum. Very cyber punk to my ears / post apocalyptic ambient music. Seems as if this one just sort of channeled other worldy influences and let the gear speak for them in the form of melodies and rhythms.

Anyone who says the drumbrute doesn’t sound good should come watch your video
@strangersun77214 жыл бұрын
To be fair, a lot of those complaints were against the original Drumbrute, which had a rough launch. Early batches were plagued with issues. I thought it was mostly a lot of BS and got sounds that I LOVED out of my original Drumbrute. I parted with it for a Roland TR8S and nearly instantly regretted the decision. Picked up an Impact on a whim to check it out and ended up dumping the TR8S for it. Sure it's more limited in its sounds, but it has more character and the workflow is more fun IMO.
@alanwomack99484 жыл бұрын
Stranger Sun I honestly never had a problem with my drumbrute and I had one of the first ones. I got the deepest most hard hitting ghetto house/footwork/techno sounds out of it, once I got the BD and the hi hats and Rim all dialed in, and I haven’t found another drum machine like it, my Vermona comes close, and I got the behringer 808 clone which sounds great for what it is, but my drumbrute is probably my favorite. How do you compare the original with the impact?

Really nice job. Couldn't agree any more about the Micro Freak. Absolute beast and a steal at it's price point. I haven't given Drumbrute a chance yet. Perhaps because I have a loaded MPC X and Maschine mk3 handling all my drums. Love the fx pedals. The one thing missing on the Micro Freak are fx, so running them through pedals makes it sound dreamy!
