Simple Steps to Create a Basic Computed Field in ODOO

Interesting. I've wanted to play with the 'label' that's created for on a SO or PO. IE right now the label is created by using product name + sales name. I'd like to use the sales name if present otherwise use the product name. Also for bonus points. When duplicating a product clear the all the extra descriptions, or double bonus prompt to ask if you want to clear them.... I need to write these ideas down to think about... You continue to inspire me Andrew, thank you!

Thanks, Tim! Are you talking about the display name? I've often wished ODOO would let you customize that more openly, but I've overridden the base code with an automation before. As for copied fields, setting those to blank shouldn't be too hard either.
