your mistakes are, the unit of measurement is millimeters not centimeters, and your other mistake is how you level you bed. This is how you level your bed as follows. 1. home your axis 2. go up 0.3 mm 3. fold a peice of paper in half 4. continue to level your bed as shown. Note: a piece of paper measures 0.15 mm so by folding it in half you get your 0.3mm

Interesting. She has been printing really well, but I do like your system. My mad on saying cm instead of mm... I switch words a lot. Thanks again for the feedback.

Damn, the whole 3D world is using the wrong way to level a bed. Omg, we have been using a single sheet of A4 paper and not folded. Even the really top smart guy are the same. Btw, how thick is A4 paper, 2cm?
@thomasheisler3 жыл бұрын
@@ABWOrturLaser a regular piece of paper is .15, so I fold it for the .3mm, as to give a bit more clearance.. So when you are setting the .3mm offset when you are done you should be right at true zero, for a while I tied the other way and it just bugged me, so when you set first layer at .4 or .5 to try to get rid of the elephant foot, you maybe more successful, and when wanting a tight gap you wont be prevented by the built in offset of when you level out. hopes that makes sense I have been working all night.

10 mm=1cm, so it is the correct unit of measurement

A8 plus is more difficult to put together than most of the newer models. Once assembled I have not had problems printing. You get a larger print area for the willingness to assemble it.

@@HLModTech Ok, thanks! Would you say the Ender-3 pro is better than the Anet a8 plus?

Sorry I was slow to reply. I have not used a e3pro, but my e3 just works.... I never have to mess with it. My A8 plus was tougher to build. Trickier to change filament... but I love that build size and it is printing great too... Can I just say both... 😁

I felt like you were on late night TV trying to sell me a time-share. You leveled you bed cold?
@HLModTech3 жыл бұрын
Lol. Definitely not a timeshare salesman, but that is funny. I do level the bed cold. My first printer was a Makerbot replicator and it does not have a heated bed... Hence I have never adjusted have a bed heated. Have you heard or found it changes something?

Hey my filament isn't going straight through instead it's curving around the wheel inside and pointing out to the side

I have had that happen as well. I have got a system now where I can feel if it does the wrong bend there... It is really just by feel though.

How do I get my printer bed in the right position for when I hit auto home it goes forward but doesn't stop when it is supposed to it keeps skipping the belt because its like its not in right position please help??!!??
@HLModTech3 жыл бұрын
I would guess one of your end stop wires is not plugged in first. Is it moving to far along X or Y?
@kevinjenkins43563 жыл бұрын
@@HLModTech no I went back over every wire an everything is wired correctly and plugged in tight the head is doing the same thing when I hit autohome the bed tries to come way too far to the front and then the extruder head tries to go to the opposite side of where the limit switch is and the bed is going away from the limit switch when I hit Auto home and it doesn't stop when it comes all the way to the front of the unit

@@HLModTech an it is moving away from Y when I hit auto home an the extruder motor moves away from X when I use Auto home so both units are moving away from the movers an the limit switchs

Your y axis belt is screwed in the left set of screws, not the right side, flip em over to the right side and it'll work as intended
@meisievannancy3 ай бұрын
Sounds like you have your Y motor rotating in the wrong direction. Swap both of two wires of one of the two phases around and the motor will rotate in the opposite direction.
@romanstekliain46773 жыл бұрын
Looks way too easy, in the manual it says tighten the 4 corners to the max, then set the extruder a bit higher, then untighten each corner as you show. My bed is killing me! when i set one corner, the other one goes up as well. in the end i'm left with three corners ok, one totally slack and still too much of a gap. checked the frame, looks even in all corners. tried both hot and cold, tried thicker glass, stomped really.. I'm already thinking of installing the auto levelling sensor
@HLModTech3 жыл бұрын
I am sorry to hear that. I have never moved to the ABL sensors. I usually get it good enough to print the cm cube, then keep working outwards till I have the bed all where I want. Once you are close, half turn should get you right. Are you using skirt? I usually have 4 lines so I can see where I am at before it really starts printing.

Hello I see that you have the same printer as I have just bought. After assembly and first turn ON, I have discovered 2 problems: The Y axis by function "AUTO HOME" is going not in the way to the limit switch, but in the opposite way. Other axes Y and Z are working well. I went to manual movement with the axis. The X axis when I turn to + it goes with the portal to right side (away from limit switch) - The Z axis when I turn to + it goes with the portal up (away from limit switch) - But the Y axis when I turn to + it goes with the table to back of the printer (way to limit switch) - Therefore I can not use the "AUTO HOME" position, and I am not able to print. Please see attached video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpXMpp9opphnb7M The motor from the extruder is not moving. By manual moving with axis E is the motor not doing anything. video can you see here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ2mdHV-pNqCnLM Could you please help me? any suggestion? THANK YOU

I would guess that when you connected the wires to the board you have them on the wrong connectors. It is a easy thing to do when you are squeezing all those wires in there.

@@dusanolejnik5225 I have seen other videos that said the connector was wired the wrong way around for the Y axis. They said they fixed it by flipping the wires in the connector or through configuration.
