My Simple Stick Project Videos have been some of my most watched uploads and this one will be no exception.
A great item to make in the woods, that is suitable for beginners and the more experienced too. These also make great gifts.

I've been fascinated by woodworking lately, I don't have a permanent place yet so in the mean time I really want to get into whittling! I've got a basic knife on the way, and can't wait to try stuff like this out. Thanks for the video, it was so enjoyable to watch!

Great video! It inspired me to make an owl bookmark as a Christmas gift - basing it partly on the owl carvings on the ends of spoons (as shown in some of your other videos). I wanted to make the eyes stand out a bit more so I glued in two green cubic zirconia jewels. It looks really good and the jewels weren’t expensive - 25p each for ones that are 3mm diameter.

Well I have watched this video twice. I went to the etsy shop a while ago and purchased the spoon with an owl on the top. You did a wonderful job on it! So I sat down and carved a bookmark yesterday and I screwed up the face, so later last night, I tried again. This one came better and I want to send to my mom. Thanks Neil, great information from your channel. By the way, I also purchased two of the patches. One went on my bucket hat and the other went on my haversack. Thanks again, John

I liked that little project. One of my times out in the backwoods this past year I was reading a book and discovered that I had forgot to bring a bookmark. I ripped the label off of a spam can and cut out the S.P.A.M. lettering and used that as my bookmark. I liked it so much that I have continued to use the bookmark at home as well. Next time I might try to make one of these. Great little project.

Hello Sir, In a video like that, when you try to focus on your hands, what you ought to be doing is turn off auto-focus on your camera. You switch it to manual, focus on the range you are comfterble with, and stay there. Auto focus on these kind of shots will cause you a lot of pain hahaha
