@@CARTUNE. Well I would recommend Java Masterclass on Udemy by Tim Buchalka. It's awesome. Than learned MySQL, and Spring and built several web services using Spring Boot. But 90% of the interview was about understanding basic Java concepts

I'm also 33, just started a role as a full software engineer. I dived into coding 2 and a half years ago, I first took CS50 and with that knowledge I landed my first developer role just after 3 months of studying and 1 year later I got a junior position as a data engineer and just switched back to software engineering.

1. Deliberate Work with effort Pushing distractions out of arms-reach It takes time to regain focus Push yourself into feeling uncomfortable Code a lot All your efforts and creations should be teaching you something new. 2. Contexts Practive concepts in many other contexts to better understand the underlying concepts 3. Frequent testing (not rereading) Test yourself often, pushing yourself to extract information out of your own brain. By exposing it to this stimulus constantly, youre tricking it into thinking its vital for survival. In coding, focus on creating projects using a specific coding skill set that youre interested in. 4. Timely & Accurate Feedback With coding this is a lot simpler than other aspects of life since you get errors when the coding doesnt work. But the best thing is to apply yourself into a coding workplace. --- Take courses Demonstate your understanding of what youre learning by immediately doing it yourself Wait (takes time for mind to build connections in your brain, sleep is vital for this) After the end of some course for instance, take that knowledge and apply it into something you make

yo man love your channel and all your creative work for the community. good to see your subs finally blowing up like u deserve. i hope you can find your own creative voice in the code content space. theres an oversaturation of clickbaity code-learnig talking head content. i love that code can give us the creative freedom people desire, but its also a separate beast navigating our creativity anf constantly second guessing our authenticity.

@@RobertSpiller Yeah the book is a game changer. Is that another good book? I didn't realize how important memory is for learning in general. Memory is involved in everything skill based. It completely changed how I'm learning piano and now I'm able to memorize and play entire songs with less mistakes in like 1-2 days! I can't wait to see how it helps me with coding.

I'm exhausted at the end of the day and I'm only 22% of the way of the course and it's been a few weeks. Find myself for getting concepts my previously learned and grow frustrated. How do getthe motivation and momentum going

I recently finished 12h grade and now I am learning coding, I got my result and it not good at all, I am very passionate about coding, and I enjoy it a lot. What Should I do, Should I pursue a degree in computer science (I am never getting an admission in good university), or I should just focus on learning how to code on my own.

I had to subscribe after this video. I’d love if you could make a video about how to use AI to help you program, while still learning, without letting AI perform all of the work and making you feel like an imposter. I’m a relatively new programmer who can build very minimal apps now. The latest app that I’m building I had to use AI to assist with some chunks that I knew, but didn’t know how to properly type out the syntax in its full extent. The feature ended up working, but I couldn’t help but feel like I cheated and didn’t know what I was doing enough to translate to a career in development. Ultimately, I’m learning to code so I can build startups, but I’d love to be good with my natural ability.

You’re either not interested enough or not focused enough. Things don’t just magically click, you don’t find hobbies and passions because they just click in your head, you find them by trying and sticking with things. Force yourself to do it every single day. Anybody can code, anybody can learn, the difference that sets people apart is discipline. Don’t pull the whole woe is me, nobody will save you, nobody will do the work for you, only you can do that. Set a timer, put your phone on the other side of the room and code for 30 minutes at least.
