My feeling is also workplaces in the US are more meriocratic when in EU, if u are much more productive when your coworkers but don't get paid more or even less, and when there are foul eggs that literally don't do any work but don't get any punishment, you don't feel like putting in any more effort than you need to

how can you start a startup in the US without being a US citizen?

Lots of great ideas, thanks for sharing. As a startup founder I just want to add that really painful problems almost don't exist. That's because people can't stand long term pain so they will figure out a way to work around any problem they stumble upon. After getting used to this workaround no matter how much money they loose, no matter how much time they waste they will practice this workaround endlessly. That's why real painful problems almost never exist.

I worked at AWS previously. The backloaded vesting is often brought up, but it doesn't matter because this is offset by the sign-on bonus that pays the equivalent amount in cash over the first 2 years. The TC is designed to remain mostly flat from the get go, and only gets changed (increased) during the annual adjustment exercise or when you're promoted. I always sell my stock the moment it is vested so whether it goes up or down doesn't matter too much. I work at Microsoft now and we have a flat vesting schedule. The stock component is much smaller as a percentage of TC. I don't objectively think it's any better or worse than backloaded vesting + sign-on bonus. Do I think big tech is still worth it? Hell yes. Maybe I won't make a 7-figure windfall in a good year, but it still pays better than almost every other industry.

There is not a single con to learning python as your first language. It’s the easiest language to learn, and it teaches you how to program faster than any other language there are no cons to that it’s just a steppingstone to other technologies.

The best way to learn coding is to begin with learning the syntax, ie just write code to learn how to write it, despite not understanding it. Also, coding is a lot easier than people think.

I m doing fine in learning Python but i started to feel Headches bcoz of logical thinking to maths problems like leap year or averages of many components etc so i started working with some other examples which is more app type where instead of calculations data type changes or back and forth response is needed . Also from learning 5-6 things a day i keep a target of minimum 1 thing during days when i m on headache. Its usual aches now but i cant think of not doing it just bcoz head has started aching. Hopefully few months later after making few projects and leveling up I will think about these days and have a good laugh. Thanks for motivation and your insights

Not a true beginner tutorial: a novice following this directly gets no guidance on the shorthands that you used. You've already saved images with no instructions on how to replicate what you did, for example. Beginner should imply a thorough series of baby steps with no assumption of any kind of prior knowledge no matter how basic. Someone thats never even downloaded a Python library wouldnt make it very far into this tutorial.

Europeans have a different approach to work than the American, for most of us our quality of life is more important than earning always more and more. On our side of the ocean, preserving a good private vs professional life balance is essential, more important than having a succesful career to many people. And we don't care about "keeping up with the Joneses" as much. In addition, in Europe we're under less pressure to save money to secure the essential necessities of life. We don't risk going bankrupt due to medical bills, or we don't have to pay hefty medical insurance fees to make up for them. Going to college does not cost tens of thousands. It's not so easy and so cheap to fire an employee. And we don't live on credit as much.

Also if you're the best in your craft, you move to the US to earn the highest compensation. All countries get brain drained of their best tech employees to the US.

I understand your pain, been there. Let me give you some ice, body thrilling water bucket. First - Website is absolute trash, and incredibly slow. 46 / 100 performance by someone with your knowledge? criminal Second - Downloaded 200 mb app without Microsoft certificate and was forced to link / create account ( no redirect to web had to manually type = pain ) Third - 10 Questions in the app itself that are confusing sometimes ( CRIMINAL, ITS TIK TOK AREA WAKE UP ) Fourth - All of this only to link chrome extension to work with it ( kekew mexican grandpa laugh comes in ) Fifth - I was really confused when I set up the app for the first time, after 3 mintues playing with it i had some general clue, tried to add new box and my chrome crashed That's how my journey with your start up ends, but i won't make it only bad news. I know how much effort it took you and your colleagues ( tons of it only because of really, really bad planning and understanding user needs ) , you did really hard heavy job on the backend, and that is something that can't go unseen. You've made new skills, new connections and built stronger pain tollerance. You successfuly pointed out more clues than i did byyourself in the video. I wish you more vibrant ideas next time and lower amount of self deludeness ( when i created my first website i was like ommg its so nice , no it wasnt ). Keep going !
