I have an ultrasonic distance sensor , would it be usable ?

It dawned upon me that the ultrasonic sensor has to be triggered. Therefore it will not work under this configuration unless you want to trigger it using a 555 then hook "echo" to a relay module at the point its better to use a arduino (or a IR sensor like this one)

Cost about $6. Ebay is cheaper. Amazon is faster. Often time they sell the items in bulk like $5 for 5 pumps (you can always use them for other projects)

I call foul! You had to touch it to build it ;) Please don't use green wire for output signal, BLK and GRN are for Ground, use blue or purple instead

In the beggining of the video, your product shows the red jumperwire being connected to the NO of the relay but in the tutorial you connect it to the COM?

It shouldn't matter whether the red positive wire from the pump is connected to NO as long as the red from the power is connected C or vice versa. We are essentially just interacting this connection using the relay.
