It's really great when you like to hear that classic riff, see it explained & broken down played. Very cool.

Yes, he even used a Strat on it instead of his usual Les Paul during that time.

Awesome lesson Mark. Eye opener. I grabbed my guitar as soon as I watched the video. It's a lot of fun and great practice too. Keep up the great work 🎸

Depressing for me to think that fall colors are already waning........if not waned..........it goes by so fast......like life. It really was just a few weeks ago we could hit the outdoor pool/lake..........sorry to be a downer......Mark reminded me to appreciate the greens of summer..........and even the early colors of fall before the frigid cold of winter. I guess on the bright side, it gives me a good reason to remain indoors and practice Mark's nice guitar lessons though! Jim C.

Great video! I know my wife can feel for your wife. I’m constantly going on about stuff that I know she has no interest in, but I gotta tell someone and she’s always the closest person.

Rhythm guitar is a lost art. When I started in bands, playing rhythm was your internship. You had to know your chords and learn how to play with other people-ensemble playing!. The lead guitarist was better than you, had more experience, maybe a little older, too. Nowadays most young guitar players just want to solo. I start people with chords and songs. In a band, 90% of the time you’ll be playing rhythm anyway. A good, willing, rhythm guitar player is hard to find.

Thanks! Neal plays a Strat on "Lights" - for sure in the studio version and also 3 of the 4 times I've seen Journey as well. Here's a fun video where he talks about the Strat he used on that record. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZTHiauEqtCVmtE
