It’s good to see a detailer actually take the time to do this properly. The detailers in my area would just spray a dressing on the door panel/interior plastics and call it done. Great job sir.

FYI: I find it easier to always lower the window prior to attacking the door panel. This avoids spotting or other liquid getting into the track allowing residue when you actually clean the window! Good detail and explanation on door panel cleaning!!! Keep up the good work.

Since you said dont worry so much about the exact cleaner/tools, you should do a comparison video were you use 3 or 4 different cleaners/tools (cheap, moderate priced, most popular/easiest to find, premium).

Hello ask her if you don’t mind me asking do you prefer super clean that with a 10 to 1 I’m waiting for my calendar right now so I can buy Maguires ABC diluted 10 to 1 because everyone says that’s better but super clean works just fine for me which one do you prefer? Thanks
@kassybender40195 жыл бұрын
I have a pretty important question....I bought superclean apc and made sure to dilute it and I cleaned my “customer”s car door with it, didn’t leave it on too long, used detail brushes and everything. Two days later and there’s this ugly white residue all over the door panels!! Any idea what I did wrong???

I got some nasty gunked door panels. I had to remove two door panels for other work, so might as well remove them all and put them in the tub. Remove all the swtiches...and go nuts lol. Im thinking dish washing fluid should do the trick

What about using those melamine or magic eraser sponges for interiors? Used one for my steering wheel and it took away a lot of grease and dirt
@mysterywrecked5 жыл бұрын
These can be very abrasive, use with care. Definitely keep them away from shiny plastics, screens, and instrument lenses. Also they can do damage to surfaces that are starting to wear out. I use Dobie sponges for heavy cleaning on textured surfaces like steering wheels. Microfiber towel or soft brush on anything shiny or see through. Hope this helps.

Oscar I have done goof. I think I undercharged myself by a lot but you tell me :/ Full Interior detail(vacuum wipe down, seats,shampoo,windows etc.) on a 2001 Nissan Altima and a 2010 Nissan Armada (Big suv) and am charging $190 for the two of them (90 for car and 100 for suv). So I’m your expertise what would you have charged? I feel like I definitely should charge more then I did!
@AllAmericanGuy015 жыл бұрын
You goofed BIG time. Why are you charging so low for so much work??
@mysterywrecked5 жыл бұрын
That would be low for me, but starting out, do what you gotta do. Get pictures to post, ask for a google review. Figure out how long these jobs take, and decide what you want to make an hour. Don't forget to figure in your cost, supplies, advertising, etc. If you are doing more than a few grand a year, save a third for taxes. Figure out what you need weekly, after taxes and costs, then add up how many jobs you need to make that amount. If you can get enough jobs to pay your bills, Bam! You're a detailer.
@nbahub56055 жыл бұрын
Matt H. That’s very easy for me. I am in high school and 17 so I’m still living with my parents so I can live a lavish life with making just 1k a month so that’s why I was just stoked to get $190 but looking back at it, that’s like 7 hours of work 😂 Overall how much would you think I need to save for taxes considering I’m only trying to pull a grand out of this hobby a month?
@nbahub56055 жыл бұрын
AllAmericanGuy01 I was just overly excited about getting a job so I gave him a extreme discount. What would you have charged?
@AllAmericanGuy015 жыл бұрын
@@nbahub5605 For the amount of work you did, time and products, I would have charged a minimum of $270 for the Nissan Armada and $200 for the Altima. I see you said you're 17 and excited to get a job, but please, please, please remember this -- you do not get paid according to peoples budget, you get paid according to the quality of service you provide. In other words, if you provide premium services, you charge them premium price. But don't you ever cheat yourself. There are going to be customers that will take advantage of your age and inexperience and will low ball you; turn them down. It's ok to turn down offers despite how desperate you may be. I'm rooting for you!

Im thinking of using make up brushes for my car. Should work pretty much the same, I suppose I'll find out Lol!
@mysterywrecked5 жыл бұрын
These are really only good for removing dust on very sensitive surfaces. They are much too soft for any real cleaning. One thing I keep handy is a toothbrush, gets out any stubborn crumbs in a crevice, then I suppose you could use a make up brush to dry if it's all you have. Personally, I'd sooner go to a craft store and get a couple natural artist brushes, just as easy to get, and more effective. Just watch the bristle cover, they tend to be metal as opposed to the plastic on detailing brushes.

when you say diluted 10:1, do you mean 10 parts water and one part solution, or 10 parts solution and one part water
@hustlehumbly61695 жыл бұрын
10 water one part solution, it also depends on the solution you buy, usually it says it on the bottle
@MrCchh75 жыл бұрын
Basically for 10:1 means u have a total of 11 parts ............10 of which are water and one is solution (think of 11 total oz - 10 oz of water 1 oz of solution)
