Hi, I want to electrically control the flow of water from a small tank (4 liters) to a another small tank (same size), this is for a demo project for my school. I have a solenoid valve but I think I cannot use it for what I need as it needs water preassure, right? Is it any way I can convert this valve so it can work with no water preassure? I have no lathe so I cannot make your project. The other project using arduino, stepper, etc is too expensive for me as I will need to buy all that. Many thanks!

I think the vale which you have already would do the job! i don't understand why it wasn't able to! normal electrical valve operate without any water flow, So pressure will not an issue for your purpose.

@@HexaNode I spoke today with a guy who repairs washing machines and he said he even have problems at houses where the water preassure is not good. He tried by cutting the spring shorter but then the valve leaks. So now I am more confused as your comment is the opposite to what this guy says.

The solenoid can't handle the current for a long time. It will be burnt. So, what if I want the water continuously flow for 1 hour?

Actually the solenoid is sunk in the water, so heating will not that much of trouble.

What Do you need Friend? >Used only normal PVC Stop Valve. >Nylon to make the bobbin. >16mm Push button tension Spring >22 AWG coil wire for wingdings and 3/4" PVC fittings. And let me know anything which you need to know! Good luck!
