Seeing Simple exit course into the main lobby and enter BitDW gave me the greatest idea for a troll hack. You spend hours doing the hardest platforming and evading tons of trolls in an open world map trying to find the star, but the twist is there is no star. The level is gaslighting you the whole time thinking there is one. But in actuality, there is one subworld where you can exit course and you get the star by beating BitS. Too bad I cant make a map, because I suck.

For reference, Clue 64 scored a 5.25, and that was the only hack that I remember making Simp genuinely mad at its quality. ETA: Ah, just saw the competition results have been tallied, and this got dead last with a weighted average of 3.71. Technically not the worst score of the competition, but the worst with multiple ratings. That’s rough.

I think the single biggest issue with this entry is not understanding what mario trolling tends to be when enjoyed. Some ideas where good to okay, however when the troll more or less becomes find the magic hidden pixel it doesn't tend to be fun for player or if streamed audience. A decent example could be viewed as in 2D mario games 1 invisible block near the end of a level is fine usually and may even get the player to laugh/chuckle, vs taking a flat or mostly flat level and saying find the hidden block with a key or power up. I used 2D mario as an example since if a stage is perfectly flat and there are 100 blocks to before the needed hidden item, that means you effectively have a 1 in 100 chance of hitting it per jump. Pixel hunting I feel falls heavily under this type of example especially with no level design hint
