Northern Desert really was the perfect music choice for that desert section. idk if the creator intended this but the 3 long jumps at the beginning are always perfectly timed to the music (3:09). And, of course, the arrangement is beautiful.

Warning you of the instant transition doesn't make it work. For people who don't know humans take about 1/5th of a second to be able react to things. When it is purely visual and requires us moving our hand to press a button this isn't actually difficult. It is pure memorization. Yet it is very easy to fix. Just have a object that looks the same on the other side of the portal. This gives them enough time to react to the first 1-2 platforms keeping flow and if designed well can even fit with the environment.
