Here is a monsoon rain storm in a rice paddy for ya. I need to stop 2 wireless band waves with a $200 jammer so I don't blow up from an IED? Here is a million dollar jammer that stops all communications I can use and has a heat bomb triggering device ;). S.Korea 2003, Iraq 2004-2009

Thats what happens when civilians with no experience or exposure to field service come up with witty ideas
@Manfromthenorth05516 жыл бұрын
They could have improved the shovel in a couple ways. 1: Fold the shovel slightly so it creates more of an angle for bullets to deflect off of. 2: Make the hole in the shovel come with a "cap" to cover it so it was effective as a shovel 3: Make the handle wooden to reduce weight. Would it have been effective with these modifications? Maybe, but it would be more useful at the very least.
@alexandrbatora96746 жыл бұрын
1: They could make the shovel folding like an umbrella, but from a 10mm sheet metal. 2: The cap in the shovel could have been done in two pieces, one of them being bullet proof glass. 3: The rifle could have been used as a shovel handle via bayonet grip.

@@KandiKlover i believe he means in WW1 and for the most part WW2 are heavier caliber rifles. For example the US went with the 30 06, UK the 303, and Germany the 8mm Mauser. Later on militaries started adopting smaller lighter shooting calibers. They realized they didn't need those harder hitting heavy recoiling calibers.

The Ross wasn't garbage at all... it just wasn't suited for the filthy nature of trench warfare. It was a finely crafted sporting rifle and was extremely well built and accurate, that's why it was like by snipers. But because of it being made to fairly tight tolerances and such, it didn't play nicely with the mud and filth so commonly found in trenches.
