Your new house was nice and had been better built but I disliked a house sitting in middle of a cleared forest! Unattractive with trees and nature around it. Does that area have all the berries that you all like to pick? Can your chickens live that far north?

Your waffles look yummy and it's making me think it's time for waffle dinner this week! I must admit that about 75% of the time, I use a mix. My moms tip for the fluffiest lightest waffles was to separate the egg, mix in the yolk but then beat the whites almost to soft peak meringue state, then fold those into the batter leaving clumps / lumps of egg white. When they bake, the white seems to disappear, and they are soo fluffy melt in your mouth... I must admit I rarely do this, but it made her waffles famous in the family.
