Braiding this procedure will be a Shabbat experience in itself. Once I get the hang of it, I’ll be braiding it this way many times again for our Shabbats 🤗. Thank you so much! ❤

Okay...this one got me to subscribe. How much flour is needed to make this six strand Challah? I usually use 510g-530g for my three strand braided Challah. But 1060g is a huge amount of flour! THANK YOU!

I have a 3 cup recipe for 1 large or two small challahs, or a 5 lb recipe, which makes 5 or 6 challahs. I'm pretty sure that the 3 cup version would make one nice size 6 strand challah. Hope this helps. Enjoy & thanks for subscribing. Amy
@krazmokramer Жыл бұрын
@@amykanarekdesigns3757 Thank you, Amy! My current recipe is 510g-530g, so at 120g per cup that's approx 4.5 cups. My yield is a HUGE 18-20 inch 3 strand challah that lasts me the entire weekend. I will just divide into 6 instead of 3 strands.

To make the 2 ends look even, I dont pinch the top of the strands together but start about 2-3 inches down from the top and braid all the way to the other end. Now I turn the hala with the open end towards me and finish the few inches left open. This way both ends are even and thinner than the middle.
