Simplest Electrical Issue causes multiple electrical headaches || What Went Wrong with the '79?

Sometimes the simplest of things can trigger multiple issues; well, it did for me with the old girl '79 recently.
I learnt something new about the 90 litre upright Engel and re-affirmed a hard learnt lesson about checking other peoples work!!! Gee I long for the day returned when I can ask for work to be done on the '79 and not have to worry about the quality of the workmanship.
1. The Engel has voltage sensitive diodes in its power pack. If you disconnect or replace your battery whilst the engel is running off that battery you run the risk a diode will blow. It is possible to have the circuit board repaired (cause it is a whole bunch cheaper than replacing the power pack).
2. If you disconnect the battery, or have it replaced, ensure that every lead (positive and negative) is installed back on the terminals that was disconnected from them.
Lesson 2 cost not only the new battery but also the power pack of the Engel and quite a bit of time fault finding accessory issues (not working).
