My middle school had one of these from 1987 until around 2023. When I was in middle school around 2011, I remember walking by the office and hearing the buzzer during a fire drill.

Why does your 4002 do regular code 3 instead of the code 3 with a longer pause?

My 4002 CPU is newer (c. 1994) so it uses regular code 3. I have a 4020 from around the same time period, but it has the slower code 3. Probably a transitional time for Simplex and code 3 cadence.
