They were called QuickAlert back then. QuickAlert is the older version of the TrueAlert.

This alarm definitely lures you into a false sense of security because it looks like a speaker/strobe, only to have a horn instead, just like the 4903 series.

it IS a speaker strobe. all it’s doing is playing the addressable T3 tone.

TrueAlert ES, but yeah, these are the actual horn versions. They made separate applications for horn (AV) and speaker (SV).

That's rare also a wall mount simplex truealert es speaker strobe can do the same sound as that one

It’s a horn/strobe. There’s a piezo behind the faceplate instead of a speaker.

They’re probably speaker strobes that play a chime tone which is aloud even in public mode settings because the speakers are still loud enough.

Same except at my high school they were white speaker strobes that all said "ALERT" They had the wall model (idk the model) in the stairways and I think, but I'm not sure since I didn't get a good look, but Wheelock ET speakers outside. Idk the model but they had Simplex T-bars too. They were definitely Single action addressable if I had to guess.

Horn strobe. The speaker and horn variants look the same for ceiling mount

@@QuentinRichardsthe2012brony My old high school had true alerts but they were wall mounts and they still startled me and the gym had speaker strobes but with no message and Wheelock on the outside which is also very loud.
