I have watched your channel for a few years now, and I have seen many things change a lot. The different SERs, the different systems you've put up, and a lot of other stuff. In my high school and training school they have the horn and the strobe separate instead of 2 in 1 truealerts.

I wonder why they did that? I wonder if they previously had sound devices with separate visible devices prior to the upgrade? My high school initially had single stroke bells but renovated in the late 90s and now has the est integrity horn strobes. And only strobes in the classrooms.

When my old elementary school that I went to from kindergarten to 2nd grade got an edition, they added a bunch of these. There were also Edwards Pre-Integrity horn strobes, Edwards Integrity remote strobes, Simplex 4903-9105 horn strobes, Simplex 4903-9105 remote strobes, and EST Genesis horn strobes.

My school has a major contract with Simplex so all new systems are undoubtedly Simplex and the campus is mostly Simplex too, aside from a few buildings that are Siemens and the one Notifier system.

Those truealerts are nice as long as you use the right one. We finally got another video with this background lol. Fun fact: they used the same piezo speaker as in the SpectrAlert advance.

Truealert is using Kingstate KPEG182 which has a white piezo cone. Advances uses a clear piezo cone which can't be found on a kingstate piezo horn. They are the same type though :)

Giving it direct 24vdc power will make the horn do continuous. If you have a panel, you can program the nac that connects to the horn do code 3.

I love the way these sound, they sound more similar to old fashioned fire alarm horns when you compare it to something like a spectral wet advance, those sound too high pitched in my opinion and don’t sound as cool
