Beautiful as always, Karon. You nailed the inspiration dress and it is so your style. I love the blue bias finishes. You just might flash a little of that inside hem as you walk. How cute is that!

Hello Karon, a gorgeous white summer dress! You’re such an amazing seamstress. Impeccable! Have a great sewing week and hopefully our weather has cooled down. Here in Indiana this past week it was miserably hot. This week is to be cooler, more normal temps. Nancy, from Indiana

Do you ever use decorative stitches when making the supportive stitches on your belts? You could do straight side and then the interior two seams in a decorative stitch in a complementary color or darker shade of the belt color. I remember seeing belts done that way in, I believe it was the 70s. And now you’re showing the striped bias tape. I’ve also seen a contrasting bias tape placed over the collar seam as a feature. Then you could pick up the color from the bias tape in the color of the decorative stabilizing stitches in the belt.

Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback. No, I do you use decorative stitching much.

Thank you for showing a close-up of your bias taped waistline. I think I see how you are sewing it now! Do you tack it to your side seams? I appreciate you explaining how you cut it out of your front placket to reduce bulk.
@cookeka5 ай бұрын
Hi Cassandra... you are welcome. I sew the bias tape unto the excess fabric at the waist. I do not sew it in the waist seem.
