Thanks Zip. It's like 10 degrees here in Maine and don't want to do stuff not needed. Just rebuilt the carb. Turns over very slowly but the the belt is not helping its almost ready to break. I will let you know. Your awesome, thanks Zip!

Brilliant out of the box thinking Chadrick! And, way to go with recycling at the same time. How is it working out? Cheers! Zip~

This is a odd belt problem I am having.. I bought a Simplicity belt 2154273 for the main drive. It is too short my belt is 45 1/4 long. Are there alternate numbers? My tractor may be a early one SN 036455 (Big Ten) and maybe they did like Triumph Motorcycles would do and use some of the previous year parts. I do hate to buy another $45 belt. But if I have to I will. Thanks for any help you can give

The main drive belt can be any make of belt. In fact, I typically buy the Kevlar wrapped belts available at farm and tractor supply stores like TSC and Rural King and I get many years out of them at a fraction of the cost. Having said that, it is possible your tractor has a low speed pulley on it, which would require a longer belt. Email me a photo of your rear pulley to ZippoVarga@gmail.com with a tape measure going across it. An 8" and 10" low speed pulley was offered and often, if the owner installed the 8", the loss of ground speed wasn't significant enough for them to switch back to the standard 6" pulley. But as I said previously, the cheaper belts work excellent and you can adjust out nearly an inch of length in either direction with simple adjustments to the declutch rod. Another possibility is that the Idler pulley is a replacement and not the right size. This too can cause a factory length belt to not fit correctly. I do have videos showing how to adjust the clutch/brake assembly for when you get a belt that you believe will work. Cheers!! Zip~

Would this also cause chatter in the variable speed setups? Or were they set up different?

Do you know a part number for a drive belt for a 3012. Also would you have an interest in a WV veterans plate. It's not very old but it's in good shape
@ZippoVarga7 жыл бұрын
John, the plate would be Awesome! Thanks so much for the offer! Being a Navy Vet, I would be honored. As for the belt part number, there were 4 types of drive systems. Is it a Hydro, Shuttle, Variable Drive or Standard 3 speed with reverse. Go to Simpletractors.net to get belt part numbers, lengths and widths in the belt reference section. Off hand, without knowing your drive system, I can't help, as each uses a different belt width and length. Cheers! Zip~

There are three transmission types used on the B-110's. I need more info. You can go to Simpletractors.com to locate the belt reference and get your belt length. Cheers!! Zip~

I really like your videos. I just inherited an Allis Chalmers B1 that my great grandfather bought brand new in '63. It has sat for over 25 years without being started. I changed the oil, put some gas in and it started right up and runs great! Unfortunately, when I put it in gear it feels like the clutch is slipping since it will only drive in 1st gear and reverse and only on level ground. Once you try a higher gear you don't go anywhere. Is there a way to adjust the clutch and how is this done? Also, where can I find a carb. kit (the carb. leaks gas from multiple places). Thanks again for your help.
@ZippoVarga8 жыл бұрын
I've got carburetor rebuild videos to help with the carburetor. The kit is a universal kit that works over a number of carburetors and is part number 291763. It can be found on ebay, amazon and small engine parts sights. As for the transmission. It's possible all you need is a new drive belt. That's a best case fix. Worst case is the differential hub has sheared roll pins in it. So, replace the drive belt (Just take the old one in for a replacement at any hardware store). Keep me posted. Zip~

HeyZip. Hate to ask, but on my 3314v ...do I have to remove the drive shaft to replace the belt on the engine?
@ZippoVarga8 жыл бұрын
You need to just disconnect it from the engine to slip the belt off and on. You don't have to completely remove the drive shaft. Zip~
