Thanks for posting this, i broke the same mount and epoxied it back together also, but forgot how that floppy L bracket roller went back together. I saw you flop it and presto, back together. Great vacuum. Although over 15 years it need the switch repaired, the cord, and a little glue. A couple belts and brush, but I would have had to buy 5 other vacuums in that time.

Just bought a 2013 Simplicity Symmetry Premium and I love it! Very similar features with the metal parts and MADE IN THE USA! I passed on the Dyson as it was a sea of plastic. The Simplicity was by far the most most expensive vacuum cleaner and my friends would laugh if I told them what I paid I am sick and tired of the Target and Walmart specials! Nice review!

That was 5 years ago. Your vacuum still works. Their Dyson is at the dump.

Im sure you still own this vacuum as there were built like tanks. They have a dual fan motor and I believe only the 7 series did. I’ve had mine now going on 18 plus yrs. You got a great deal on that vacuum

Is the simplicity suppose to be self propelled? I got this same vacuum yesterday.

I have two of them built like a tank. The older one is at least 20 years

Can anyone tell me why the L wheel on the floating arm assembly wears out faster than the right? I noticed the same wear on The machine in this video as on the one I own.

The spiral roller brush pulls to one side on some floors so your kind of pulling it at an angle.
