I think there is a middle ground for simplification in poker. You can utilize simple strategies while being able to respond to complex strategies. Older solver algorithms that were limited by computational constraints used this abstraction technique.

Sure. The main takeaways from this video should be: 1) simplifications aren’t always bad, but they’re never as good as they could be and 2) if you’re going to study, why cap yourself?

Can you make a video of how you study a sim with complex strategies? As it is quite confusing for a beginner to do so...

Alvin deleted his comment amid negotiations. He commented another time so we’re trying again there.

Great video, love your content. Do you play cash only or any MTT?

Thanks mate. Just cash. MTTs make me wanna drive off a bridge

@@LessIsMore99 I feel you on that. It might go without saying, but many players (even "regs") make errors throughout MTTs due to all the complexities of playing different stack sizes, ICM, etc. Im sure its the same deal in cash to an extent :)

do you think there is merit in implementing a single size flop betting strategy and working in lower frequency lines after you develop as a player ?? or are you suggesting you learn a complex strategy from the get go? ( currently grinding NL25 on ignition)

You shouldn’t be studying how to play single size flop strategies. At lower stakes if you have no idea how to play you can use a single size if you choose to do so but just understand that it’s a crutch. Not necessarily bad, just not as good as it could be

Why would you issue a challenge to Alvin then delete his comment where he agreed to play you? Seems pretty weak.

He deleted the comment, not me.

Wait, hold on. It was caught in KZbin’s “left for review” section. I just approved it. It should show up shortly. I’m new to the YT thing haha
