These videos are definitely one of my favorites! Have already used one myself for preparation for a tournament game (I needed a "security line" against the Caro-kann) and recommended several as well!

Great stuff, thank you!

Would be excellent to have links on the cited games to see how it was drawn / how the finishing blows were delivered. :)

Links to where exactly? I find the games in Mega database and since I tell the names and where and when they were played, you should be able to find them there, too.

I do feel I could start playing tis after watching video. Probably 2 or 3 times. My problem with these Ruy Lopez lines is that to play the Ruy Lopez as black you have play 1.e4 e5 and a couple of them especially the Italian Game gives me fits. If you can come up with some nice interesting and easy to play ideas you could probably make a top selling chessable course. thx for lecture.

Yes, of course, the Italian is a pain, but I will come up with something, no worries! :)

Think it is a lot harder then finding ruy lopez ideas I think it was Tarkatrower that said the ruy lopez was bad because any opening black can play so many pawn sacrifices' against can't be any good.

@@stevenanderson9881 I am not aware of that Tartakower quote, perhaps you can find the exact one? I'd appreciate that!
@stevenanderson9881Ай бұрын
will try but I remember reading it about 40 years ago. I'm sure it was a joke also it was gambits not pawn sacs.

Scanned a bunch of old chess books couldn't find it. I'm not 100% sure it was tarktower but I'm sure that quote exist from some old time chess player/

Nxe5 has the highest white winning percentage in the data base.

Percentage rate doesn't mean it is objectively very good. Statistics is a strange thing...
