Hey Jen! Just some thoughts: many people use the velvet ribbon as a page marker in the Day Designer, downloading is essentially a brain dump like you mentioned and I feel that the Day Designer is a super big help to small business owners/entrepreneurs with all the planning pages she offers, but the Simplified Planner would be great for someone not needing those extra things. I've met Emily at the Making Things Happen conference and she's absolutely wonderful inside and out! Whitney lives in Oklahoma like me and sells her products in some our local stores. Everyone always has great things to say about her as well. It's nice to know that the products you're purchasing come from the hearts of such amazing women. :) Have a great weekend!

I just bought the Simplified Planner and I was very disappointed in the quality of it. My spiral coil was also bent and messed up.

I don't use normal planners because of the half weekend days. My Saturdays and Sunday are my two busiest days of the week for me. I need a full page. I also can't stand the planners that have the times on them because they always stop at five. I have plans after five. I just write in a notebook right now. I hope you have your own planner some day. I would fully support that. I also would like to see a "life planner" that has half planner and half life management binder in as well or at least easier ways to put in my printables. Food for thought. Thanks for doing all of these comparison videos. Hopefully someday a planner will fit my needs.

I was thinking the exact same thing regarding having a full day to a weekend! When you went through the first planner it didn't even have the 'to do' list on the weekend section! My weekends are just as busy as weekdays and I have no idea why all planners condense 2 weekend days to a page, it's so annoying...

I am so spoiled with my ECLP! These look nice also. There is a new planner coming out from a new company called Inkwell Press. You should check it out! Thought about that one but ended up ordering ECLP. I love the customization options!

Thanks for sharing this! I'm with you, I like Saturday and Sunday to have a full page. Since I work for a church, Sunday is a work day with lots of tasks! I like to write with a combo of pencil and marker, so I'm heading over to your blog to see how your writing tests go.

I'm currently using Erin Condren's Life Planner and I love it but I'm hoping to find a planner that is better suited for me because I'm a student. I was considering getting a Day Designer. When I went to the site, their black and white was gone (which is a professional looking planner). Seeing this review, I am glad I didn't get it. I HAVE to have the interior ruler (actually I prefer two). Love these types of reviews.

OrganizedJen Planner....I like the sound of that. I always enjoy planner videos, but find that so many of them focus on decorating the planner, which is, to me, counterproductive to time management. I like your videos because you focus more on the actual scheduling.

Just a heads up, the pink ribbon that comes with The Day Designer is supposed to be used as a book mark. I have that same planner and it explains that on one of those two cards in the front pocket. I also think the elastic band on The Simplified Planner has the same purpose but I'm not sure. Also, there are a lot of shops on Etsy that sale stickers for planners and specifically for The Day Designer. Great video!
