Seeing in real life before & seeing it finished. This video doesn't give this build the justice it deserves. It's a cracking build and so many back breaking days went into this. Fairplay Tony. This is such asset to your growing space. Danny 🌱

Tony, I think saying it’s a shed transformation doesn’t do what you’ve done justice. That was a massive piece of work and you’ve done something amazing. Thats a whole new building build, not just a transformation of an old shed 👏👏👏

What a transformation Tony, it might of been a pain in the arse to do it all but at the end of the day it will now last for a good many years and obviously it's going to make your work at the allotment much easier. l'm not not sure why you left the uprights on the second shelf sticking up, but if you cut them to the same height as the shelf it will make it much easier to store things on it, unless you have left them for a reason?
@simplifygardening10 ай бұрын
What you dont see in the video is that they have cross beams fixed to them for lighting that will comme later
@ninemoonplanet10 ай бұрын
Taking on work done by someone else somehow always creates unexpected issues. It's a temperate rainforest zone here so using those pieces of ply wouldn't be much good. Moisture would immediately rot it. Painting all surfaces is what we must do to have anything wood stay in one piece. Shelving looks nice and deep, with structure strong. Much better than what was there.
@simplifygardening10 ай бұрын
They are 2 ft deep and they are measured off the trays I bought so the shelving was built to them. It gets very wet here but as long as you felt things and allow other stuff to breath it will last. at least as long as I need

bad idea with insulation, unless you ok with rotted roof. Condensation will happens like in old shed, but will hold longer, because insulation material be holding moisture. If you want to get rid of condensation, just make simple ventilation. P.S. sorry for bad english.
@simplifygardening10 ай бұрын
condensation will only happen above the felt as its insulated below. im sure time will tell and if I have to pull it down i will

@simplifygardening9 ай бұрын
Yes I do spend a lot of money, but this is my passion. dont forget you only need to use what you wanna use, im making videos for everyone. one person might like to know how to rebuild a shed while another doesnt want a shed, so I have to cater for everyone. it doesnt mean everyone has to do everything i do. If nothing else its here to spark ideas and imagination

There is felt below the tin sheeting it should be fine it’s only thin if not

its all about condensation inside the roof space there should be a membrane directly under the thin ply liner
