Can this method work for any section of only shs

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to consider shear force is 60 kN, designing for the worst case where section is cut right at the 60 kN point load? It would not change the outcome since our allowable shear stress is so high.

How plastic section modulus arrived as 90.90 cm3 it's not tallying in cm's..and bending stress why we need to consider as 50kn?

The plastic section modulus is calculated by dividing the maximum bending moment by the strength of mild steel, which results in 90.9 cm^3. The bending stress of 50 kN is used to determine the beam's dimensions & check the combined stress from bending & torsion. In conclusion, the video suggests using a 100x100x8 square hollow section as the optimal choice for the beam.
