and plz involve ur son in this( weekends) . u set a good example cos we live in a world where girls need all the support they can garner. a well brought son who views and participates in daily chores as something everyone has to do is an asset to society . i wash clothes separate, no mixing . my husband folds his own clothes.sometimes we do it together. that’s a good habit . and can use washing soda or baking soda for whites. i switched comfort fabric conditioner to vinegar. they come out soft

I do the laundry, I have 2 sons 11 and 7 by age , elder one cleans up the machine filter after its done and folds after they dry, younger places them accordingly. Both help me spreading them out in the sun

No it doesn't, but few cheap cotton fabric do get shrink. So put them out to dry.
