Great review and it's a beautiful piece! The only downside seems to be the lume. I would expect it to at least be on par with an SKX or Turtle. A lot of people gripe about the accuracy of the 6r35 movement. I have a Spb153 green Williard (which has been discontinued, btw). It has the same movement... and I found that after a break-in period, it has very good accuracy. With it's 70 hour power reserve, it takes around 57 clockwise crown rotations to be fully wound. You can't take it out of the box and initially wind it 10-15 times and expect good accuracy. Once it's fully wound and worn every day for a while, with "maintenance winds" each morning (10-20). It should settle in nicely. Mine runs about -2/3 seconds a day.

What is the difference between SPB299J1 and SBDC167 ?

They are basically the same. Only that the SBDC167 is JDM (Japan Domestic Market). And most JDM has "Made in Japan" in the dial and caseback. And mostly more sought after by Seiko collectors and sometimes that made them more pricier on the grey market.

This with titanium case and bracelet and 6L movement Seiko 6r35 is not a very good time keeping movement. I ve had 2 and both were within specs but near the limit .not good at all.my 4r35 and 36 are much better
