Danika! I just loved watching you become overcome with emotion. The audience was filled with love and along with Simply Reds performance it filled your heart with joy, so much it moved you to tears. And I’m sure that was the artist’ intention, to make you feel! And you explained your feelings perfectly. Like John Lennon used to say, “ All you need is love!” Hi Andre!

I’m still blown away by this song after all these years! The fact that his vocal projection is incredibly immense that he holds the microphone so far away from his mouth is mind blowing that it picks his voice up with clarity. Great reaction, speaking truth to the facts of life and the world we live in.

When we talk about soul, Mick Hucknell has it, it's a gift,a god given gift. How is it possible for a 17 year old to write such a genius piece of work? I must have listened to this song scores of times now and it still enthralls and captivates me on so many levels. The strings, the trumpet, the base. The vibe from first to last is incredible. And Dominica and Andre are also transfixed by how great he is live. His voice has lost none of its power and richness.

To really love the song you need to understand the words and the story of his young life. Pater is father and Mata is mother. And at 3 years old his mother left and never returned and he felt strangled by his father's wishes for him and he longed for the arms of Mata mother and the years of crying and waiting and the years was all for nothing his father was always wanting him to have a way to make a living but he wouldn't do anything unless he was moving his dream forward in his love of music. He was 17 when he wrote the song.

Music brings people together. And yes there is a lot of ugliness in this world, but there is also a lot of beauty and love. And just as there are those who do atrocities, there are others who may put their lives at risk to save another life, and I sincerely believe that we should concentrate on the good, because that is what fills the soul. You are a wonderful couple🥰

I always like to return to their reaction to this song. They're both authentic, genuine and natural. Their joy is infectious I find and its so life affirming. Have to be honest,I never really rated Simply Red or this song as a young man as I was then. But my appreciation of music over the years has matured. As of now, I'm crazy about this song. It has so many elements to it. His rich, soulful voice hasn't lost anything over the years too. This is a brilliant experience. You're enthusiasm never seems to waver.

Andrei and Dominika - Greetings from Canada! 🍁 Dominika - Don't apologize for crying; I understand. I loved this song from before but, for me, the backing orchestra and the warm audience participation in this live performance elevates it even more - it's so moving. 🥲💙 I am also often puzzled by how human beings can create and enjoy such beautiful music, art, architecture, and engineering on one hand; and on the other hand, humans are capable of such hatred and cruelty towards each other. I think ego, fear, and willful ignorance may be the cause of these human ills.

Really enjoy your reaction to this one. And I understand the thinking of you hearing music and see the joy and feeling a bit sad what's going on in the world. Actually I had this moment a week ago when visiting Opera House and watching the orchestra playing so beautiful. I felt after all the hatred and negative news I got into a refuge of peace. It was an emotional moment for me. Funny that I hear someone talking exactly about it a week later.

The love that radiates from your mutual encounters with some of the great artists and great performances of the past does my heart and soul good. I must admit to crying along with each of you at times as one song or another hits one of you harder than the other. Every time I see that you have reacted to a song that was one of my favorites, I immediately put in my ear plugs and shut out the rest of the world and focus on the music and your reactions.
