Sooo inspirational! That was a major transformation. We have very hard water in S Cal also. Lots of calcium deposits in the tea kettle and lime deposits on shower heads and faucets. I use a lot of white vinegar. 😉

My mom would do that, with stashing things in nice baskets. I remember laughing when I was a kid because she bought a garbage can cover(it was made out of wood, and stained) but it hid the garbage can, Guess what I have in my home 20 some years later...? A garbage can cover...HAHA
