Elvis not only kissed the girls but men also went as close to the stage as possible just to get a hand shake from him. Elvis would always say to the man " Thank you, sir "! I always thought that was very telling of him. Really polite and respectful down to earth guy with everyone.

All I can say is that Elvis was a very special human being. I'm 72 and I can remember him from his first days preforming on Ed Sullivan show. His rock and roll years before going into the army. and his movie years. So sad how his fame isolated him. Then we lost his so early. Peace and Love Simone.

You probably know this Simone, but the millions of fans around the world who love Elvis and still love Elvis young and old, are not only thrilled by his amazing versatility and talent, but by him as an extremely generous person and the type of human being he was. If you'll look up about his generosity you will be amazed. Well, maybe you wouldn't be amazed.:) Love you.

If you notice, at one point as Elvis is walking by him, you can see his drummer Ronnie Tutt watching him intently as he played his drum kit. The band always did that no matter the year or the venue. They watched him for ques because they never knew what he might decide to do, and they wanted the music in the song to fit whatever random thing he did. Ronnie Tutt, his drummer, his guitarist, James Burton all said in an interview that they couldn't believe it at this show when he decided to jump off stage and walk the audiebce. Elvis always had heavy security around him. He had his own security, he didn't need to use the venue security. His security WAS there in this video....they just wore their own clothes. Later on in the 70's they'd wear jackets with a patch that said "Elvis in Concert" on them, so ppl would know they were with the show.

He used to sing this song at the end of his shows and go around to “greet” people. He’d kiss girls and just have a good time, but there would be times his crew had to walk by him to keep people back. I personally wouldn’t have washed my cheeks or lips for a month! 😂😳❤️

The Vegas crowd was fairly well behaved, also his people were behind him in the crowd -- he had kissed girls before but they had no idea he was gonna just leave the stage, he had been mobbed many times before at other venues so it was a total gamble on Elvis' part.

@Simply K.Simone ; Facts regarding Love me Tender segment "Elvis Summer Festival 1970" , Las Vegas Nevada International Hotel : The funny thing is that Elvis walking into the audience was a first and only time he would ever do this. It was not part of the show, nor ever suppose to happen. Later on the reason why Elvis took a stroll into his audience came out: Elvis walked into the audience cause he knew his shows were filmed for a documentary (That's the way it is) . And to spice things up, and do the unexpected , got of the stage and start making a round trough the biggest showroom of the Hilton/International hotel (3.000 seats) and with that getting everybody of his entourage off guard including the film-director and his crew of camera's. You can also see that nobody of his bodyguard-entourage follows him cause...they never expected he would take a walk between the audience because they know he always gets mobbed by fans and thus would never dare to take that risk by approaching them without his bodyguards. The only one you can see whois acting swiftly is Charlie Hodge (little Italian guy and Elvis confidence) when suddenly droves of women start lining up to get a kiss of Elvis and he alone tries to make some room for Elvis to get away from this all. You can also see that the camera's of MGM who were filming the show that summer in 1970 , are trying desperately to keep up with him cause they also never expected him to get off the stage and walk...between and behind the audience and the positions the camera's were at. In the 70's they didn't have like now, small handy camera's or tripods etc.,cause then camera's then were big and bulky. So having their 'target' (Elvis) moving away from where they were used to have him, in front on stage, they had to quickly reposition themselves to keep him in sight. What is also amazing is the TCB band (band on stage) kept al the time, while Elvis was making the round, the melody of "Love me tender" going without missing a cue. And when Elvis got back on stage they ( as you can hear it) swept up the sound and on cue Elvis continued the song "Love me tender." No technical requirements of mixing his voice with the music, no earplugs, no restarting the whole song just an pure professional artist who continued his stage song like he was on stage all the time and he never made that walk between his audience that summer in 1970. Elvis walked around kissing fans...he'd get back on stage after kidding people and he'd say "Tough way to make a livin' man, I tell ya." His band members looked at him like "Yeah right....you know you love it" Elvis' wife Priscilla often attended these Vegas shows (even after they divorced in '73)...at this time in 1970 when they were still married, i wonder if that bothered her.

This song was released by Elvis in 1956, and accompanied the release of his debut movie by the same name. By 1970, the time of this video, he had experienced a lot of health issues, but could still sell out a performance. What if you told someone that Elvis kissed you right on the lips---they'd say you're lying. Then you could break out the video and go "there". I always preferred him singing this type of song. Such a beautiful, soothing voice. I also love Angelina's cover. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5nMqJZ4bc52fLs For me, nobody covers Elvis's songs like Angelina. I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well in this most difficult time. Best wishes, Simone. Billy J

In Aug 1970 Elvis had zero health issues and was in peak physical condition. During the 60's his weight fluctuated some based on eating habits and the drudgery of hollywood filmmaking. After Aloha in January 1973 is when he started to have issues...again brought on by being artistically stifled by his own record company and his manager's refusal to book overseas tours. Col Parker even screwed him out of a European vacation in the fall of 1969.
