Dani in 1972 I had center seats with my wife and 2 daughters center stage and Elvis pulled my my daughter Cori on stage and gave her a kiss and scarf she was 9 years old ! The next morning going for breakfast Elvis’s manager came up To her and gave her a 4 foot teddy bear !! Of course that was a very special time !! P. S I loved you on your tiny piano !!

I’m happy to see someone so unabashed about their love of Elvis. He was a supremely gifted singer & an interesting man. Hy Dani, thanks for reacting to one of my requests! I was so curious about your face watching this video! 😉 And you didn't disapiont me! 😂 He is absolutly great and an unique artist in every way! Like Sammy Davis jr once said: "On a scale from 1 to 10 he is 11, as an artist and as a friend. I never met a person in this often cruel business, who was so loyal as he was!" Words from another great artist! I watched this video very often, and you explained it very well! He wasn't singing for round about 2 minutes, but you can still 'hear' his voice. I wasn't aware of this, before you mentioned it. He put his stamp on this song forever! Your little video was so cute! A forever fan was born, i guess. It reminds me of a girl, 12 years old who puts the earphones on and starts to sing with Elvis "It's Now Or Never". I wasn't aware at this moment that nobody could hear his voice but only mine. I must have sounded like a strangled cat! And suddenly my big brother came in and yelled, "if i didn't stop singing he would call the police"! 😂 Now we can laugh about it, but it was so embarrassing to me that i stopped singing to the music when i have my earphones on. Only when i know that i'm alone! 😂 It is unbelievable how this guy brings people together. You are the third generation, i'm the second, my parents the first, they are fans till today, but i'm the craziest! And it's amazing that actually every generation made same experiences when it comes to Elvis! He is the link, between young and old. But to this day i'm not sure why. His voice, his looks, his smile (OMG!), his charme and charisma, his stage presence? I guess a little bit of everything, but the main reason in my eyes was his 'connection' to his fans, his ability to stay in contact to his fans. I have to stop here, but i could go on and on. You get so much messages and i know you want to answer to every comment. Btw. Me and a few other absolutly crazy Elvis fans want to build a time maschine, wich brings us to this special concert and song. We have decided to fight against everybody who stands in our way to get to the stage banter. You look a little bit like Linda Thompson, and i guess you will get the first kiss. If you want to, you can come with us! August, 1970! 😂🤣😂 Yes i know, we are completley mad! So what? 😎 I enjoy every Elvis reaction, keep it up and please stay safe and healthy in this difficult times! ☀️🌈 Greetings from Germany. 🇩🇪 🇺🇸

First of, thank you for sharing something personal about your early life. That video of you singing along to Elvis on piano is just precious. Loved it. By the way, I have always been a fan of Elvis...since I was a kid and knowing about Elvis from my parents. Anyways, as far as Elvis going through the audience, there were many factors that were in place for him to have tried this one time. From the perspective of his career, this was Elvis's early return back to Las Vegas, and so his career was back on the way up, remember at this time, he had just done the Elvis Comeback Special with his leather suit, and not as of yet done the 1973 Satellite show from Hawaii. Anyways, he had been away from public life and concerts almost 9 years, and so this explains why the crowd didn't go completely berserk. Even so, he actually did take a huge chance though on going into the crowd, and I feel that it was on the borderline the crowd going crazy and hang all over him, and one can see the fear in his body guards to try and get him out and back onto the stage near the end. And you see the expression on Elvis that he just made it. He would not try and do this again as they knew it could have gone wrong and he continued to rise back in popularity and at that time in the 1970's he just become more of a legend. Lastly, at the height of his early career in the 1950s', there was no way he could have done that, they would have torn him apart. Lastly, In the 1970's, he mostly did kissed women from the stage. This was normal for him to do. Take care.

This is a scene from the documentary film Elvis: That's the Way It Is. Elvis was here in Vegas for 30 days and did 61 concerts. A lot of those performances were in the movie. I'm sure the crowd was moreless handpicked and had to be in control of themselves, but I don't know it may have been a more laid back Vegas crowd that didn't attack him too bad, but he actually announces that MGM is doing a movie here-- so don't let these cameras throw you. I ordered this dvd collection set from Graceland gift store, so I have an uncut version of the whole thing. I had seen it on tv before but they edit a lot out for tv. Any other normal concert, he wouldn't be able to walk out in the crowd like that. All I have seen--he has never done that in a regular concert. The mob scene would be too enormous!!! The man couldn't even go out in public. He rented theme parks out at night so his entourage could ride roller coasters and other rides and play games. He rented out movie theaters and they watched movies after hours. He rented out department stores to do his Christmas and holiday shopping!!!

The original version from 1956 was based on a Civil War era song called "Aura Lee." Pat Boone said he felt like he was eavesdropping when he first heard it, because it sounded so intimate. I liked his 1968 Comeback version the best. In most of the 1970s he treated the song as a throwaway.

Only on occasion Dani, but I get everything you're saying. As a heterosexual male I feel his stage presence and the genuine love he had for his fans. This is in Las Vegas, not out on the road where 20,000 fans could have access. A security risk that wouldn't allow him walking out to the fans.. We've become used to groups and entertainers over-choreographing live performances. With Elvis, even the pauses speak loudly to his unprecedented stage presence. As you saw the repetition of his repeating "Caught in a Trap, I can't walk out" during Suspicious Minds over and over again.. My God, you just can't take your eyes off him.. It's hypnotic, and we're put in the moment where nothing else matters. You're picking that up from the screen, can you imagine what it would be like being there.. Passing out might not be a voluntary response, it might just happen.

His smile is everybodys delight. Envious smile. His Grin in The Wonder of You makes me stumbled in excitement. How about you Dani? His smiles flashes in a 1/10of a seconds but you quickly catch Dani. Terrific speed. Terrific glanced just like a lightyear speed.. Your being too fast Dani outweigh Elvis flashes smile. Thanks for keeping me awe on how speed you are. Hahahahahaha. Thanks Dani. Since you love the song so much. Here's the History. The song was adapted from the melody for "Aura Lee", a sentimental Civil War ballad. "Aura Lea" (sometimes spelled "Aura Lee") is an American Civil War song about a maiden. It was written by W. W. Fosdick (lyrics) and George R. Poulton (music). The melody was used in Elvis Presley's 1956 hit song "Love Me Tender".

I know what you mean, that's because it was a very controlled audience, mostly like movie stars, Cary Grant, Sammy Davis Jr, you know those type of people in the audience paid a lot of money for that Dinner Show. He would have never been able to do that in any other type of audience. But I'm sure if Elvis was around, he would pay to kiss you.:)

Id LOVE a kiss also please! Elvis was so true to his fans! It fueled him. He was an artist that loved performing and making people happy, both by laughing and singing. His personality is infectious. He was the most generous famous person of our time. This is why at the time of this death, he was the poorest person in comparison to what he made in his lifetime. He gave most of it away. A truly blessed man that loved his profession and his fans. I truly miss him every day.

Dani, the reason the girls didn't rush the stage like you would think is because of the space between the tables. You have to remember that the guests had dinner (evening show) or drinks (midnight show). When the show started everyone jockeyed their seats to get a good view of Elvis, leaving little room for anybody to squeeze by. Sometimes by chance, there was enough space between the table making it easier for girls to rush the stage, or some guests would be polite and let them by. It's also important to remember that anyone sitting up front were with guests of the hotel (big time gamblers) or rich people, mostly women that paid riduculous tips to Amelio the maitre D or one of his associates. Hope this explains it a little better for you. Keep up your education on the king.

This was one segment and probably cleaned up and I know it was shortened for the movie "That's the way it is". A lot of the late night shows the women got pretty raunchy and ran on top of the tables to get to him. His bodyguards told many stories about these shows and some women came quite prepared for anything. Dresses minus undergarments. These people had money and there were a lot of stars in the audience but a lot more went on that they were not going to put in the film they were making which is where these 1970 clips are from.

When he sat on the stool with guitar in one concert ...he says something like:,I will go back ( in the crowd) again for fame or money !!! Guess he already kissed the girls and did a walk about and a fan asked him to do it a 2nd time. Ha! Elvis was so funny at times and had so many one liners....so clever. The time he could not stop laughing in one concert and he looks up and says : well just don't look down story me ....help me ! ( to stop his giggling ) Or he says something like: 20 yrs down the drain ....
