Hey! This showed up on my for you page, I make handmade leather goods (formerly metal art) and have tabled at about a dozen events, it's cool that you're doing videos about this because I went in blind and I'm still learning as I go. Quick tip is to store extra cables, pens, etc. that you might need with your table fixtures so you won't have to make an emergency run to a store when you're setting up your booth. This happened to me with a cable and it wasn't fun trying to find a store at the last second.

Just binged all of your videos and they were very pleasant to watch and learn from :) I'm far from ready for cons but I think it would be a blast to do once I got enough stock going. Would love to see a travel video.

I would be interested in a video about travelling to conventions! 🙋♀ I have been hesitant to apply to out of state conventions bc of stress transporting stock

This video is so much help for me, as I recently started thinking about selling at a con etc... and had no idea where to start, I also find that some artists seem to be very secretive about these sort of things so thank you so much for sharing

Thank you again for all the help you give! I applied to a small con before and didn't get in but I'd like to think now I can handle rejection better :') I hope to get into tabling at cons in a year or two

4:42 one of the local cons near me is notorious for opening applications less than a month in advance and letting you know super close to the actual day of the con. It’s also well known for having terrible responses to an attendee having a medical emergency, and being “beginner friendly” to get into.

I feel this lmao one of the organizers for cons in my area have been announcing/opening applications to new events the litteral week before the event 😅

Thank you for this video, it was very informative!!🩷🩷I'm looking to apply for cons this year, should my portfolio be only my art or my art as into a product? Ex: just illustration of my art or pictures of my keychains, stickers, pins, etc? Thank you!!✨🌈💖

Hihi!!! Is it hard to rebook for returning artist? I heard you have to go through a queue to book the table. It’s going to my first time rebooking for 2024. 🤔. Thanks!

I'm planning to debut as a con-artist in 2025 (a lil' ways away, I know), is it frowned upon to join the Artist Alley International Discord before you're an established convention seller?

Hi! I draw on the side of my degree, but I've been getting more and more interested about having a go at an artist alley. I imagine to get accepted (in a jury setting), you'd need to have a good social media presence/be an established artist, so I'm thinking of giving it a year of work before I apply. What do you think the criterion are? Is it less likely for them to accept someone who hasn't had a presence for a long time?

Actually, if you pay for it fast enough, they dont care who you are

Biggest thing she doesn’t mention is the amount of rejections and the odds getting in. Good luck people.
