I did not participate in this years winter SAS. I was looking for 1 scent I missed, Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte, and my store did not have it. It was on their website the first day of SAS but did not want to pay for shipping. So I figure I'll just wait next year. Instead, I went to Victoria's Secret and got the Gilded Vanilla, which I love. And it's cheaper in the store than their online prices. I feel that you can wear Gilded Vanilla year round.

I didn’t do too much for SAS. We had already heard so much about the new items coming that I wanted to save for new releases. I’ve been loving the spring candles and candle holders. Even though they’re repackages so far, I think the Valentine’s Day stuff so far has been really cute. I just don’t feel like I need it. I’m the most excited right now for the Sweethearts collection. I hope they allow BOPIS. I’m busy the early part of this week and know I won’t make it into the store right away. I’m 50/50 on the everyday luxuries collection. There are some I’m really looking forward to trying but I’m not as excited by dupes as I am original scents. Being able to possibly pick up lotions that may match fragrances I already have is exciting though. I really want to try Vanilla Suede and Sunwashed Santal in the body care because I have the detergent for each and love it. I just don’t really like paying for shipping or waiting for it. Since I can’t do BOPIS or buy in store, I might pass though.

There’s something especially self-absorbed about leaving comments that aren’t constructive. The greatest form of protest against content that you find offensive in some way is to simply not engage with it, but people find their opinions to be of such value that they believe everyone wants or needs to hear them. A person will literally subject themselves to something they find cringey to give them ammunition to make a comment, when skipping through/clicking off takes significantly less effort. That “because I can” mentality demonstrates such superficial, un-nuanced thinking. There are plenty of things that you CAN say, but does saying them enrich your life or anyone else’s?
