Late for the party I know. But the "New York" warehouse is actually in Windsor Connecticut. I live about 40 minutes from it. It's massive. I also know people who have worked there and they said it was horrible.

Crazy story here in Idaho they cannot get a cement contractor to pour the job due to their housing boom so Amazon built a temporary cement Pouring facility and had a third-party come in from another state and build it for them.

So correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the new fulfillment centers are setup in a much more efficient way. The newer ones such as the one I work at have it setup like this. 1:Truck unloaders 2: dedicated automatic decant (box openers) 3: goes to all 5 floors for stow 4:pickers 5:Pack We also have all the fancy stuff
@youtubepremiumaccount4063 Жыл бұрын
The fulfillment center I'm at doesn't use all the fancy technology. It is just us on sorting and diverting lines, which eventually goes to the fluid unloading into the trucks. All done by hand at our location in Lacey WA. I've been told it is basically a one of a kind Amazon warehouse as the only other one that operates as such is somewhere in California. No robots doin nothing for us here....Yet.

I don't understand how it physically makes more sense to store items of different sizes randomly next to each other. I would think stacking items of the same size would save more space instread of having just a pile of stuff.

I admire Jeff to a certain degree.. esp when you see his garage “office” back in the day. HOWEVER.. in the US, they say it takes about 170k to live “happy”.. (id be good @ a mere 100k personally) Given his wealth, even the guy pushing a broom should be making 100k. Why? Cause it used to be , when a company did well, the people who make the company run did well too. Perfect ex of Modern day slavery. Btw, Jeff could make 200k since the birth of Christ , & STILL be rich today! Sickening

Watch around 6:30. Those robots bring items to a picking station in most cases. The picker will remove the item from the robotic, then scan it to a yellow tote an put the yellow tote on a conveyor belt to be taken over to the pack station.
