You have to be invited to perform at the Festival. She performed at the 2017 Asia Song Festival and left such an impression that she was asked back the following year which, to my understanding, is very rare. The song was made popular by a revered Korean singer, Lee Young Hyun, and she really impressed the crowd when she sang the last part in Korean.

Thank you, SimplyTwoDudes for reacting to Morissette performing "Resignation", an original Korean song, at the 2018 Asian Song Festival held in South Korea, representing the Philippines. I agree with you, Andy, when you said that it must have been nerve-wrecking for one to be performing live, alone on a big stage, in a large stadium, in front of tens of thousand audience and perhaps hundred thousands or even million through live streaming, where all eyes and ears are on you, and then sing a song which is very familiar to them, in their own language (she did the last part in Korean, if you haven't noticed), wherein you're not really speaking the language (Filipinos mostly speak Filipino languages like Tagalog, Bisaya, etc. and English, but not Korean). Morissette must have had the nerve of steel to accomplish that, and she did! It was an outstanding, spectacular, heartfelt performance! The loud cheers from the crowd and the wide round of applause given to her says it all! With that performance, she has captured the hearts of many Koreans, as well as the other people who have watched it, and witnessed this incredible talent! Simply one of best vocalists in the world in our time. ❤
