Just a quick tip for you mate. I want to make mention that the Chatillion Lux Aftershave does NOT contain added water in the list of ingredients. It's potent and concentrated. I always recommend applying it to a wet face or just adding a couple drops of water to your hands. It will help to not feel so thick. Great shave. Fantastic brush, and I'm curious about these soaps now. Might have to take a look. cheers.

Chantillon.... The musky incense smell comes from the patchouli. Yuzu is a Japanese grapefruit... on it's own it has similar to a white grapefruit with a bit of almost vetiver scent. A very clean scent.

Ruds is a very skilled shaver. Seen a couple of videos. My nose is very average and so is my lather. But I get damn excited and enthusiastic about every shave. That's all I got going for me 😂

Great shave mate sometimes I do scuttle lather when I put hot water it keeps the lather warm and that is good whenever you use a menthol soap and my favourite is the chubby 2.

Got the cream today. Just used it; line up - R1, Derby Platinum, Muhle 23mm synth. Lovely orange and lime smell. Scent strength is about a 4. Sadly it doesn't have the cleanest ingredients list but it does have good glide.

nice man! i got a chubby 2 Manchurian. basically the same thing but slightly smaller diameter knot, lower loft and denser than the 3. it's more backboney but when you splay it it's not quite as big. it's by far my most backboney knot, 2nd place goes to my Maseto 2 band fan (exact same brush you have) and third place for backbone goes to my M&F Blonde 2band bulb. i got a 30mm Declaration B4 coming pretty soon so we'll see where that lands in the lineup. i'm excited and i'm optimistic the Declaration will end up my favorite.

it's treating me incredibly well. absolutely love it. best part about natural hair brushes, especially a proper high quality badger knot, they just get progressively better each and every use. synthetic doesn't do that, but we know that don't we mate? ;) i enjoy synthetics as much as Chris does but i don't have problems creating lather with either. (he's gotten miles better than he was and seems to be loving natural hairs now though) you just need to know each brush intimately. especially badger knots because they act differently. point proven with your use of the Chubster here. badger brushes have their own personality, a unique character. once you got em figured out you can make mountains of lather no issues. so i find they're not easier or harder, just different. but i prefer the feel of natural hair. i just use synthetics for a change-up every once in a while or if i need to rush or something. i think soon will be a 1 month Semogue Owner's Club boar break-in-a-thon. i love that brush but i've only used it about 8 times so no where near hitting its sweet spot. that's the problem with having loads of brushes, can't seem to use them all enough lol

Bahahaha you took the words right out of my mouth my friend. We're exactlu the same. I like whipping up lathers with both, they all fantastic. One thing I do agree with is badgers suck up a lot more soap, but hey. Soaps cheap right!? And I have over 100 soaps so I need to use them up anyway 😁👍

Oh wow. That's awesome man!! I really hope they do well for you. And out of the box, maseto is softer on the tips and a touch scrubbier (finest since its what is most comparable) but the chubby holds more lather, flows a little better. But for $400 brush. It's hard to recommend over the maseto. Hope you enjoy the budget kings!! 😍 you'll love them

The Simpsons list shows the Chubby 3 as 29mm knotdiameter. My own is more to the 30mm.

It sure does my friend. But yep. Everyone who pulls it out, says its actually 30-31.they underrate their own brushes. Normally it's other way around. I found out my maseto "30mm" are actually 28mm. Oh well the knot quality is still ridiculous

There is no difference between two band, finest or manchurian badger hair. It's just very long and thick silvertip badger hair (their winter fur)

Manchurian tends to be a darker band in my opinion. And more of a yellow tip. Softer too. This is all only in my experience
